Johnnie and Jake are just having a conversation on the couch. When Johnnie suddenly said, "Be right back" as he got up and started to head to the kitchen, a small object fell out of his pocket.
Jake watched as Johnnie left to the kitchen, and his eyes wandered to the object that fell from his pocket. He was curious as to what it was.
Jake bent down and picked up the object, looking at it closely. Jake's eyes widened as he realized what the object was. A razor blade. He felt a mix of confusion and concern wash over him. Why would Johnnie have a razor blade in his pocket?
Johnnie walked back in the living room, holding a water bottle as he sits on the couch again.
Jake looked up at Johnnie as he sat back down on the couch, still holding the razor blade in his hand. He hesitated for a moment before speaking up.
"Johnnie... why do you have this?" Jake asked, holding up the razor blade for him to see.
"Why do i..oh." Johnnie tensed up at the sight of the blade in front of his eyes.
Jake noticed Johnnie's tense reaction and his concern grew. He set the blade down on the coffee table and turned to face him fully.
"Are you okay?" Jake asked gently, his eyes filled with worry.
Johnnie glances at the razor blade for a few times before he sets the water bottle down next to it.
Jake followed Johnnie's gaze to the razor blade and water bottle. He was trying to read his expression, but Johnnie seemed distant.
"Johnnie, please talk to me," Jake pleaded, his voice filled with worry and love. "You're scaring me."
"I didn't do anything," Johnnie said as he looked back at Jake. "I just been thinking about it and i was almost going to do it."
Jake's heart sank as Johnnie admitted that he was thinking about harming himself. He reached out and gently took Johnnie's hand in his own.
"Johnnie, I'm glad you didn't do anything," Jake said softly. "But why were you thinking about it? You can talk to me about anything, you know that right?"
Johnnie nodded his head, looking at their hands. "I just been recently having thoughts about it and I don't really know why, I've been depressed."
Jake squeezed Johnnie's hand gently, his heart aching for him."I'm sorry you've been feeling that way, love," Jake said, his voice filled with empathy. "Depression can be really hard to deal with, but please know that I'm here for you. You don't have to go through this alone."
Johnnie looked up at Jake, his eyes filled with vulnerability."I know I don't have to go through it alone," he said quietly. "But sometimes it feels like there's no other way out. Like the pain and sadness are just too much to handle."
Jake's heart ached even more as Johnnie spoke. He pulled him into a tight embrace, holding him close."You don't have to feel that way,"
Jake said softly, his voice filled with love and determination. "You're not alone, and you never will be. We'll find a way to get through this together, okay? I promise you that."
Johnnie hugged Jake back tightly, burying his face in his chest. He felt a mix of emotions - sadness, vulnerability, and a small glimmer of hope. He didn't know if he could get through this, but he knew that Jake was there for him, and that made all the difference.
Johnnie lifted his head after a few minutes. Sniffling and wiping his eyes.
Jake gently cupped Johnnie's face in his hands, his thumbs gently wiping away the tears.
"It's okay, love," he said softly, his voice filled with tenderness. "I'm here for you, and I always will be. We'll get through this together, no matter what it takes."
Johnnie glances at the blade on the coffee table. "Can you.. get rid of that please?"Jake followed Johnnie's gaze to the blade on the coffee table and nodded.
"Of course," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "I'll take care of it right now."
He got up from the couch and picked up the blade, quickly disposing of it in a safe place where Johnnie wouldn't be able to find it.
Jake returned to the couch and sat down next to Johnnie again. He wrapped his arms around him once more, holding him close.
"I'm proud of you for talking to me about this," Jake said softly. "I know it wasn't easy, but I'm glad you did. And I promise you, we'll get through this together. We'll work on your depression and find ways to cope with it healthily."
Johnnie nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but having Jake by his side made it a little less daunting.
"Thank you," he said quietly, leaning into Jake's embrace. "I love you."
"I love you too" Jake said, holding Johnnie.
The end.
