Jake is driving with Johnnie towards the forest. "So, i read up on this place and apparently its like haunted. Like you'll see like ghosts and hear voices or like rituals happen in this forest."

Johnnie looked a bit scared at the thought of a haunted forest but still kept a calm demeanor.

"Great, so you're basically telling me I'm gonna die out there."He joked and laughed nervously.

"Hey, we're *both* gonna die out here." Jake joked back, laughing as he turned the wheel towards the haunted path.

Johnnie grabbed the side of his seat, clutching onto it tightly and looking out the window with a mixture of fear and excitement."Remind me again why we thought this was a good idea..."

"I don't know i just thought it would be fun!" Jake laughed as he parked the car. "i got the tent and sleeping bags in the back of the car. So we are also staying the night! Did i mention that? No...... Well we're camping too"

Johnnie's eyes widened in shock.
"Are you serious?! We're staying the night in this godforsaken forest?!"

He started to feel more anxious, not only because of the thought of the paranormal but also because of the thought of being alone with Jake in the woods.

"Fuck yeah we are!" Jake cackles. "It'll be okay, I'm here for you" he turned the car off. "it's gonna be.." he stopped talking and looked outside, his mouth dropped. "Dude, its so dark and quiet..."

Johnnie gulped, looking out the window as well. He had never seen a place so quiet and dark.

"Yeah... It's a little too quiet..."
He said quietly, his heart beating faster and faster as his grip on the seat tightened even more. He could practically feel the fear coursing through his veins.

"It'll be fun!" Jake beamed as he opened the car door and exited it. He opened the back doors and took out the tent and sleeping bags.

Johnnie reluctantly exited the car, looking around nervously as if something was about to jump out at them at any moment."You better be right..."

He mumbled, grabbing the flashlight from the backseat and flicking it on, the light illuminating the dark forest around them.

Jake says, "Camping is a fun thing to do, Johnnie! Just pretend theres no haunted things here and we'll be fine," He laughed as he carried the camping stuff towards the site that was near the car.

Johnnie rolled his eyes, following Jake and trying to take his mind off of the eerie atmosphere.

"Yeah, yeah. Easy for you to say, you're not the one who's scared of everything."
He said, trying to sound confident but failing miserably.

"Hey, don't gaslight me, I'm just as scared" Jake laughed as he placed the camping stuff on the ground. "ok, let's set up the tent"

Johnnie chuckled at Jake's comment and helped him set up the tent. As they were working, he kept looking around the forest, his eyes constantly darting around.

"You're sure this place is safe, right? No axe murderers or anything like that?" Johnnie asked.

"Aye don't say that shit, that's like horror movie crap and I don't wanna think about that" Jake laughed again. "okay hold that part up so i can connect this part here..." He said, attaching the tent together.

Johnnie nodded and held the tent part up as instructed, trying to stay calm despite the fear still bubbling inside him.

He kept looking at Jake as he worked, appreciating his effort to lighten the mood.
"You know, you're awfully optimistic about this whole situation."
