Jake walked into the house, mentally he was prepared to confess his feelings for Johnnie today.

It took weeks of mental preparation to do this. But his heart is broken at the sight of Carrington and Johnnie kissing on the couch.

Johnnie and Carrington didn't even notice him, they were too busy making out. Johnnie was on top of Carrington, his hands on his chest, Carrington's hands on his hips. They were so into each other that they didn't hear the front door opening.

Jake awkwardly cleared his throat as he shuts the door behind him once he entered the shared house.

Carrington and Johnnie finally noticed him, both looking up at him with surprise. Johnnie's face turned red as he quickly pulled away from Carrington, sitting up straight on the couch.

"Hi guys," Jake greeted and laughed his pain off as he carried the plastic 7-eleven bag with him to the kitchen.

Johnnie and Carrington exchanged a glance, Carrington shrugging his shoulders as if to say 'well, that's awkward'.

Johnnie got up from the couch and followed Jake into the kitchen, feeling guilty for what he just saw.He leaned against the counter, watching Jake put the items from the bag away.

Jake is putting his safe foods and other snacks away into the kitchen compartments such as the pantry and cubboards.

Johnnie continues to watch him, feeling even more guilty as he sees how Jake seems to be trying to act normal. He clears his throat, trying to get his attention."Hey, uh, can we talk for a second?"

"About what?" Jake asked as he continues to organize the pantry now. His eyes focused on the task.

Johnnie shifted awkwardly, running a hand through his hair."About what you just saw... with me and Carrington."He said quietly, his voice filled with guilt and a hint of nervousness.

"So? im happy for you" Jake replied, hiding tears as he is still working on the pantry. His back has been facing Johnnie the whole time.

Carrington called out, "Babe! C'mon!"

Johnnie sighed, feeling even worse as he heard Carrington's voice. He looked back at the living room, then back at Jake.

"Jake, wait. Please look at me."
He said, his voice pleading.

"Carrington is calling you" Jake replied, stacking some food items in the pantry in a much neater way.

Johnnie groaned in frustration, knowing that Carrington was being impatient. But he didn't want to leave things like this with Jake."I don't care. I want to talk to you. This is more important than Carrington right now."

"What is? im happy for you" Jake repeated the lie as he closed the pantry door. Walking past Johnnie as he grabbed the pack of cigarettes and lighter that was left in the bag. Then he walked upstairs.

Johnnie sighed, realizing that Jake was avoiding him, feeling defeated. He sat down on the couch next to Carrington, who looked at him with a raised eyebrow."What was that about?"Carrington asked.

Johnnie shrugged, trying to play it cool, but Carrington could tell something was wrong.
"Nothing. Jake's just being weird."He said, avoiding eye contact with Carrington.

"I'm sure he's fine," Carrington shrugged. He leaned in close and said, "Now where were we?"

Johnnie tried to focus on Carrington, but his mind kept drifting back to Jake. He felt guilty for what happened, and he knew he had to talk to Jake and sort things out.
