A few weeks passed and Jake was recently diagnosed with Autism. He hasn't been taking Adderall since his diagnosis and hasn't since his accidental overdose on the medication.

However Johnnie is still shaken up about the traumatizing experience. The memory of Jake's foaming mouth, incoherent speech and laying on the floor on the verge of unconsciousness was burned into his head.

Jake noticed Johnnie's quiet demeanor on the couch and sat down next to him, "Hey you alright?" he asked Johnnie.

Johnnie looked up at Jake and shrugged, "Yeah, I'm fine.." he said quietly.

He shifted his gaze to look at the floor, avoiding eye contact. He had a lot on his mind but he didn't want to talk about it. He was worried about Jake.

"Oh c'mon don't bullshit me." Jake laughed this off, thinking Johnnie was just going through one of his 'saddening patches', - but it was much darker than that.

Johnnie sighed and turned to look at Jake. He looked up at him with a serious expression on his face."It's just.." he started, struggling to find the right words to say. "I'm worried about you.."

Jake furrowed his eyebrows. "Worried about me? About what, Johnnie?"

Johnnie hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words to explain."I'm worried about your health.. and the medication.. and the overdose.." he said quietly, looking down at his hands. "I'm scared that something like that will happen again."

Jake shakes his head, "Johnnie, it was an accident. i didn't mean to take that much and i just got diagnosed with Autism so I don't even plan on going back to Adderall..."

Johnnie clenched his fists, feeling a mix of frustration and worry."But it could happen again, Jake! You don't know what you're doing when you're on those meds.." he said, raising his voice slightly. "You could seriously hurt yourself."

"What?! Are you fucking with me?" Jake laughed, "You're not listening to me! I'm not gonna take Adderall ever! not ever again"

Johnnie looked up at Jake, his expression becoming more serious."I am listening to you, Jake! But I can't just forget about what happened. You could've died. Do you even realize how serious this is?" he said, his voice rising even more.

Jake was about to talk again but was interrupted by his best friend.

Johnnie took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He knew he was being too hard on Jake, but he was just so scared.

"Please, just promise me you'll be careful. Don't do anything stupid.." he said, his voice is softer now.

"I didn't mean to do it! I just was so tired and i forgot to turn on the light and accidentally poured the wrong amount!" Jake exclaimed as he got up from the couch, "I was also in my fucking head because i didn't know what was wrong with me! Okay!"

Johnnie stood up too, frustration and worry still evident on his face."I know you didn't mean to, Jake! But that doesn't change the fact that it happened. You need to be more careful. You need to take better care of yourself."
