Drix had left the office, annoyed at himself for taking so long. His mom would certainly be annoyed that he wasn't home; she'd called him twice and he hadn't answered either (because he was too busy to use his phone).

He got into his car.

He had told the driver to leave the car for him. He was going to drive himself as he was in a mood to drive.

He started the car and it began moving out of the parking area to the road where it just continued moving forward.

Drix leaned back on the chair, a hand on the wheel, the other, on hip.

The day had been so stress-filled, he needed to just go to sleep.

That's when his eyes caught a person sitting on the road, seeming to be in agony.

He was too far to recognize who it was, but the sooner he got closer, the better the figure seemed to get visible.

He realized it was a female.

Why would a female be on the floor late at night (not that it was a male job to be)? What was wrong with her? He hoped she was okay?

He drove closer, his thoughts traveling. Why was the female so terribly familiar?

Heck no, was that Reil? Why the fuck was she all alone in the night sitting on the floor?

For a split second, he'd thought about just driving past her, since he was already developing a teeny bit of abhor towards her at the possibility of her being the Reil the drunk man was talking about, and she was flirting with someone else.

But he knew he couldn't leave a female alone in the night. He had to help her.

He pressed the brake of the car, causing it to come to a halt beside her.

He could see her bewildered expression as she sat there on the floor.

He unwound the windows so she could see who'd come to her rescue.

Her lips curled to a smile he had to admit was very beautiful.

He let out a small sigh, before getting out of the car, walking round it till he was standing right in front of her.

“Drix.” She offers him a relieved smile.

He ensured his expression hinted to her how he was nothing close to being thrilled to be there.

“How the fuck did you get yourself in this?” He shakes his head because he can't even try to think about what happened.

“Could you please check my ankle? I think it's broken.” She said and he sighted a tiny bit of fear in her eyes.

He sat on his feet so he could see the ankle well.

He was not a doctor so he wouldn't know if her bone was broken or anything, but she seemed to want to hear that she was okay. That her ankle wasn't broken and she could still walk.

He gently took off the very high heels from the leg he assumed was the hurt one.

His hand gently brushed through the cold skin of her tiny ankle, which she let out a rush of air with that small gesture.

He stared at her in worry, actually hoping her ankle wasn't truly broken because he hadn't even really touched it.

“Let's get you to the hospital.” He offered, rising to his feet. “Can you walk?”

She shot him a glare, tears trembling on her lashes. “If I could, you think I'd still be sitting here like a fucking jobless asshole?”

Okay, that was a stupid question.

“Don't act like I'm the one who broke your fucking ankle.” As soon as he said it, he immediately regretted it as a drop of tear rolled down her cheek.

“Is it really broken?” She asked in a whisper, but loud enough for the wind to swoop it past his ear.

He let out a huge sigh, before bending a little to wrap an arm under her knees and another at her back, before raising her up in a bridal style ignoring the small gasps that left her.

Her hands involuntarily find their way round his neck.

“We'll know when we get to the hospital.” He walks her to the car door, opening it and gently tugging her to a seat, ensuring that her knee wasn't having contact with anything.

He walks over to the driver seat, hoping he'd get to the hospital fast enough to ensure no further damage is done to the ankle.

~~~~~
Thankfully it wasn't broken, just sprained, as the doctor had said. And it'd heal soon in a few days.
Reil let out a sigh of relief as she leaned on the seat of Drix's car.
He didn't say anything as he was just driving her back to her house.
She couldn't help but remember him raising her up from the floor. How her heart had done a little flip flop.
It was something she'd loved. Those strong arms of his, resting on her back. Those broad chests pulling her to it.
Oh those dreamy abs…
“What's funny?” She didn't realize she was smiling like an idiot till he pointed it out.
She quickly composed herself. “Nothing.”
The car came to a halt and she realized he was in front of her house.
She undid the seatbelt, then turned to face him. *Uh, Drix— thanks a lot.” She meant it.
She didn't know or even want to think about what would've happened to her if Drix hadn't come.
She wasn't sure if she was imagining the twitch of his lips. Was he holding back a smile?
“I wouldn't have minded if I didn't have to face my mom's question.” He said, coldly.
She smiled. “I promise to treat you later.”
He sighs, turning to the door which seems like it'd take a billion years to reach with her leg.
“Do you need me to carry you in?” Like he'd done at the hospital. Nope. No thanks. Her heart had done a flip over twice already in one day. No thank you.
“I'll be fine. Thanks though.”
***
Nope, she was not fine.
After Drix had left, she had ten bodyguards walk her to her room and each step felt like a knife piercing through her ankle.
Finally, she was laying on her bed and her thought process couldn't help but travel to Drix, raising her from the floor.
His eyes staring at her when he'd come out of the car…
His words…
His twitch…
His blinking…
His hands on the wheel…
She let out a chuckle as to what dumb things she was thinking about.
Crazy girl. Thinking about someone so much.
