Lenny packed her hair in a ponytail, then stared at herself in the mirror.

She was going to work for the first time since she started taking care of Angle and she wanted to look her best.

She'd worn a spaghetti handle gray knee length gown with a black jacket, then a black office shoe.

She wasn't the type to put on make-up that well, so she didn't apply any.

She hadn't been able to go to work so she wasn't sure if she was ready to leave Angle in a daycare.

He was still a very shy boy, though he was already saying little words to her, like ‘good morning' or ‘thank you' or ‘yes, please'.

But he was really close to Greg and said tons of words whenever he spoke to him.

So she wasn't comfortable leaving him in an unfamiliar place yet, with children he knew nothing about and a person he'd probably be afraid of.

Greg wasn't going to work that day, since he was on a two day break, so he'd volunteered to take care of Angle.

The sound of the doorbell startled her from her thoughts. She left the room to see Angle jumping off the couch and running to the door.

He obviously knew it was Greg as he was the person who'd visited her the most.

She was so thankful to have a friend like him around. What would she have done if he wasn't around.

She went to the door, and opened it to reveal the handsome figure leaning against the door frame.

He winked at her as Angle jumped on him and he picked the small boy off the ground.

“How's my champ doing?” He smiled at Angle.

She loved the sight of the both of them together.

Greg was really great and he was the best friend she could ask for and he was also the best uncle that could be there for Angle.

Her heart raced twice as fast at the thought of uncle. She'd meant it like he was an uncle to Angle not her husband.

Not her husband, but uncle, please don't take it any other way because she wasn't doing that as he was a great uncle to Greg, no Angle.

Ghaaa what was she thinking?

“Thanks for helping out.” Her cheeks burned in embarrassment, but he didn't seem to notice.

“Yeah.”

Work was the same. It was like her absence had no effect on work.

Drix had ensured she got a substitute till she got back to working. He was so nice, she was grateful about that.

It felt weird to know she'd once had a crush on him.

Speaking of crushes, she hadn't seen Bill the whole day. It was like he wasn't even aware of her presence.

She decided to go check on him. Let him know she was around.

She left her office, then went to his office.

She met him standing by the door of his office, and a smile appeared on her lips by his presence.

“Hey.” She shyly waved at him as she sauntered towards him.

He turned to her as though surprised to see her. “Hey, I didn't expect to see you.”

“Oh, I just wanted to check on you.”

“Oh yeah, I heard about the Angle situation, it's kinda brave what you're doing there.” He gave her a smile that caused her heart to flutter.

“Bill.” A familiar voice called from behind.
