Work had been really tiring since Reil hadn't been there for three days already.

Sarah had called her each day, pleading with her to get well soon so she could come back and take over.

There was progress though, she could walk already but was still limping so she still needed rest.

But that didn't make things any easier for Sarah.

She had papers to go through, calls to attend to, meetings to postpone and now she was inside the elevator of the Rendox Heix International Company, about to hold a meeting with Mr Macomber.

The elevator dinged before the doors separated.

She walked out of it, heading to the door where she'd be meeting him.

She clutched to the handle of her Michael Kors hand bag, hoping she hadn't left her phone, but also not wanting to check.

She lifted her hands in a fist, before knocking on the door.

“Come in.” His voice called from the other side.

She replaced the hand from the door to its handle, turning it.

She walked into the office, closing it behind her.

He was sitting on a couch in the office.

“Good afternoon Mr Macomber.” She said, walking to the couch opposite him.

“Hi.” Casual? Oh.

He gestured for her to take a seat which she did. They were both separated by a round glass table.

She placed her bag on her lap, opening it as she began to pull out some papers.

“Uh, Mr Macomber, about the plans we made in the production company, there'd be some arrangements in the goods to be sent to your company. We're sending the produced goods on the first of next month, and would like to discuss the return.”

“Okay.” He said.

When she raised her head from the papers, she noticed him staring at her. Creepy.

“It seems we'll be working together often.” He started.

“Yeah, we signed a contract, remember?” What was he saying? It was nothing related to what she'd just recently said about business.

“Why don't we act more casual?” He gave her a friendly smile. “Instead of calling each other Mr and Miss, how about just Sarah and Bill.”

“Uh… I guess.” Weirdo.

Business people were supposed to be respectful with one another.

Well, maybe he was just a different type of person. Maybe he preferred doing business casually with people so they could understand the business more (if that made sense).

Bill's gaze couldn't shift from her though he knew he should stop staring, it seemed to be making her uncomfortable.

But she was just too pretty. Those dark eyes stole his attention. Her braided hair was packed in a pretty ponytail.

Since the last time he'd seen her, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He'd dreamt about her a lot and just wanted to see her.

Although they could discuss on the phone, he had told her they had to discuss in person as that was how business worked (it worked since she seemed new in the line).

When he turned to her lips and noticed it moving, then he realized she was talking.

She was? What was she saying? He decided to listen.

“ …and we could just make it more advanced since there'd be a possibility of the sale.” She explained, staring down at the papers in her hand. “Just as it says here.”

What was she saying? He had no idea and didn't care to have one. All that mattered was that she was there in front of him.

About an hour later, it was time for her to leave.

No. He didn't want her to leave. She should stay longer, please.

She stood up from the couch and he did the same.

“I hope you review it and give me some feedback, okay?” She gave him a small smile that went straight to his heart.

“Yeah, I will.” He returned the smile. “I guess I'd need your number for that.”

He reached for the pocket of his black pants that matched with the black suit he wore over the white shirt he had on.

Pulling out his phone, he stretched his hand towards her.

“Okay.” She took his phone from her, placing her number in it before handing his phone back to him. “Call me for the feedback.”

“Yeah.” Like he'd call her for only feedback. Psych.

“Bye then.” She started towards the door.

No. He shouldn't let her go.

Do something Bill. Anything. Please, don't let her go.

“How ‘bout a drink?” He asked, a little too desperately, but she stopped walking to turn to him.

Her brows pulled in confusion and he knew he had to change the way he said it before she went running off.

“I mean, how about tea? I don't like when visitors come without taking tea.” He explained, placing both hands in his pocket so as to act normal.

She pursed her lips, then smiled. “I was here for over an hour and didn't get any tea.”

He shrugged. “I guess I was too busy. Come on, just a cup.”

“Sorry, I can't.” She said it so casually, he wasn't sure if he'd been rejected or not.

He noticed some dark circles around her eyes. “You look tired, don't refuse the offer. You need something relaxing.”

He was happy he didn't sound desperate though that was how he felt.

“Reil's not around for the meantime so I have to fill in for her so I'm very busy,” she explained, “maybe next time.”

Ouch.

“Okay, I'll keep your word to it.” He was happy he didn't sound as pained as he felt.

“Bye then.” She pivoted then left.

Although she'd left, he could still feel her presence in his office.

Gosh, how could meeting someone twice do this to one?
