The following weekend, Namjoon and Y/N packed their bags and prepared for a special trip. They were heading to Namjoon’s parents' house, a visit they had been looking forward to for weeks. It wasn’t just a routine family visit; it was the first time they would see his family since announcing the pregnancy.

As they drove through the familiar countryside, the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow over the landscape, Y/N felt a mix of excitement and nerves. Namjoon reached over and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “You okay?” he asked, glancing at her with a reassuring smile.

She nodded, smiling back. “Yeah, just… it feels so real now, you know? I’m excited to see them.”

“They’re going to be so happy,” Namjoon said, his voice full of confidence. “They’ve been dying to see you and hear all about the baby.”

Soon, they arrived at Namjoon’s parents' home, a cozy, welcoming place that always made Y/N feel at ease. As they pulled into the driveway, they could already see his parents and sister waiting on the porch, their faces lighting up as soon as the car came to a stop.

The moment Namjoon and Y/N stepped out of the car, his mother hurried over, wrapping them both in a warm embrace. “It’s so good to see you!” she exclaimed, her eyes shining with joy. “We’ve missed you both so much.”

“We missed you too, Mom,” Namjoon replied, his voice filled with affection as he hugged her tightly. Y/N was next, enveloped in a loving hug that made her feel like she truly belonged in this family.

Namjoon’s father and sister joined in the greetings, and soon they were all chatting excitedly on the porch. Namjoon’s sister couldn’t stop smiling as she looked at Y/N. “You’re glowing!” she said, her excitement barely contained. “I can’t believe I’m going to be an aunt!”

Y/N laughed, touched by her enthusiasm. “I know, it’s still sinking in for us too. We’re so happy to be here with you all.”

After the warm greetings, they all moved inside, settling into the comfortable living room. The house had a cozy, familiar scent that instantly made Y/N feel at home. The walls were adorned with family photos, some of which included Namjoon from when he was younger, making Y/N smile as she imagined their own child growing up in a similar loving environment.

As they all sat down, Namjoon’s mother brought out some tea and snacks, eager to catch up. The conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and stories. Namjoon’s parents were eager to hear all about the pregnancy, asking questions about how Y/N was feeling and what their plans were for the future.

“So, how are you feeling, Y/N?” his mother asked, her tone full of genuine concern and curiosity. “Is everything going well with the pregnancy?”

“It’s going well,” Y/N replied with a smile. “I had some rough patches with morning sickness, but Namjoon has been amazing. And now that I’m feeling better, it’s been wonderful to just enjoy this time.”

Namjoon’s father nodded, his expression thoughtful. “It’s such an exciting time for both of you. We’re so thrilled to become grandparents.”

Namjoon, who had been sitting close to Y/N, placed a hand on her knee, smiling at his parents. “We’re lucky to have your support,” he said sincerely. “We can’t wait for you to meet her.”

“Hearing you say ‘her’ makes it so real,” Namjoon’s sister said, grinning widely. “Have you thought of any names yet?”

Y/N and Namjoon exchanged a glance, and Y/N shook her head. “We have a few ideas, but we haven’t decided yet. We want it to be perfect.”

The conversation continued, filled with more questions, stories, and laughter. Y/N could feel the love in the room, a sense of belonging that made her heart swell. Being with Namjoon’s family, sharing this special time with them, made everything feel even more real and exciting.

As the evening wore on, they eventually moved to the dining room for dinner. Namjoon’s mother had prepared a feast, eager to spoil them with homemade dishes that reminded Namjoon of his childhood. The atmosphere was warm and filled with joy as they continued to talk about the baby and their future as a growing family.

After dinner, they all gathered in the living room again, this time with a little more focus on the plans ahead. Namjoon’s parents offered their help and support, making it clear that they would be there for whatever Y/N and Namjoon needed.

“We’re just a phone call away,” his mother said, her voice full of sincerity. “Anything you need, day or night, we’ll be there.”

Y/N smiled, feeling incredibly grateful for their kindness. “Thank you,” she said softly. “It means a lot to us.”

Later that night, as they got ready for bed in the guest room, Namjoon wrapped his arms around Y/N from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. “Today was perfect,” he whispered, his voice full of contentment.

“It really was,” Y/N agreed, leaning back into his embrace. “Your family is wonderful. I feel so lucky to have them in my life.”

Namjoon kissed her cheek, his hold on her tightening. “And I’m lucky to have you,” he said softly. “Our daughter is going to be so loved.”

Y/N smiled, feeling a deep sense of peace as she thought about the future they were building together. “She already is,” she murmured, her hand resting on her bump.

They climbed into bed, the warmth of the day’s events wrapping around them like a blanket. As they drifted off to sleep, they knew that this visit had only strengthened the bonds between them and Namjoon’s family, making them feel even more prepared for the journey ahead.
