As the evening deepened into night, Y/N and Namjoon noticed that their daughter felt a bit warmer than usual. Concern crept into their hearts as they realized she was starting to develop a mild fever, just as the doctor had warned. Namjoon placed a gentle hand on her forehead, feeling the warmth radiating from her small body.

"She's definitely warmer," he said quietly, his brow furrowing with worry.

Y/N nodded, her heart squeezing with anxiety. "Let's keep a close eye on her. We can take her temperature, but I think it might be best if we keep her close tonight."

Namjoon agreed, and they quickly decided to bring their daughter into their bed. Gently, they laid her down between them, ensuring she was comfortable and secure. Y/N tucked a soft blanket around her, and Namjoon adjusted the pillows to keep her safe.

Their daughter stirred a little but didn't cry. She seemed to be content lying between them, her tiny chest rising and falling with each breath. Y/N and Namjoon exchanged a look, both of them feeling the weight of their concern but also the deep love they had for their little girl.

Namjoon lay on his side, facing their daughter, his hand resting lightly on her back. Y/N did the same from the other side, both of them creating a protective cocoon around their baby. They watched her carefully, monitoring her every move, her every breath.

"She's so small," Y/N whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "I just want to make sure she's okay."

Namjoon nodded, his eyes never leaving their daughter. "She'll be okay. We'll make sure of it," he replied softly. "We just need to keep her comfortable and make sure the fever doesn't get too high."

They took turns gently checking her temperature, relieved to find that it was mild and holding steady. The fever wasn't severe, but it was still enough to make them worry. They kept her close, offering soothing touches and soft whispers whenever she stirred.

Hours passed, and the night grew darker. Their daughter slept fitfully, but she didn't cry, just as Y/N had noted. She seemed to find comfort in being near her parents, and that alone brought some peace to Namjoon and Y/N's hearts.

Namjoon leaned over and kissed Y/N's forehead, offering her a reassuring smile. "You're doing great," he whispered. "She's lucky to have you."

Y/N smiled weakly, grateful for his words. "We're in this together," she whispered back. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You'll never have to find out," Namjoon promised, his voice filled with conviction.

As the night wore on, they continued to watch over their daughter, their love for her stronger than any fear or worry they might have felt. They knew that parenting would come with moments like this—moments of uncertainty and anxiety—but they also knew that they would face each one together.

Finally, in the early hours of the morning, their daughter's fever began to break. Her breathing became more even, and the warmth started to fade from her small body. Namjoon and Y/N exchanged relieved glances, feeling the tension begin to ease.

"She's cooling down," Y/N whispered, her voice filled with relief.

Namjoon nodded, gently stroking their daughter's back. "She's strong, just like her mom," he said, his voice tender.

Y/N smiled, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. "And just like her dad," she added, her eyes shining with love.

They continued to watch over her until they were sure the fever had fully subsided. Finally, as dawn began to break outside, they allowed themselves to drift off to sleep, their daughter safely nestled between them.

It had been a long night, but they had faced it together, just as they would face every challenge that came their way. As they fell asleep, their hearts were filled with gratitude—for each other, for their daughter, and for the love that would always guide them through.
