The next weekend, Y/N, Namjoon, and their daughter were up early, packing a few bags for a weekend visit to Y/N's parents' house. It had been a while since they spent some quality time with her family, and they thought a peaceful weekend away would be a nice break from their usual routine. Namjoon had suggested they stay for a night, giving them more time to enjoy the visit and relax.

Their daughter was bundled up in her stroller, her little face peeking out from under a cozy blanket as Namjoon and Y/N packed the last of their things into the car. Y/N double-checked that they had all the baby essentials—diapers, bottles, clothes, and toys—before she smiled at Namjoon.

"All set?" Namjoon asked, closing the trunk with a satisfied grin.

"Yep, I think we're good to go," Y/N replied, glancing at their daughter who was already contentedly settled in her car seat.

The drive was peaceful, the road winding through familiar countryside as they made their way to Y/N's childhood home. As they got closer, Y/N felt a sense of nostalgia washing over her. It had been a while since they had stayed at her parents' house, and now they were returning with a baby in tow. It was surreal.

Namjoon noticed the soft smile on her face and reached over to squeeze her hand. "You okay?"

"Yeah," she said, looking out the window. "Just thinking about how different everything is now. Coming back here with her... It's like everything has changed, but it also feels the same, you know?"

Namjoon nodded. "I get it. Life feels like it's moving so fast, but being with family helps ground you."

Y/N smiled at him, appreciating his understanding.

When they finally pulled into the driveway, Y/N's parents were already outside, eagerly waiting to greet them. Y/N's mother waved excitedly as they got out of the car, her face lighting up when she saw her granddaughter.

"Oh, my sweet girl!" Y/N's mother exclaimed, rushing over to help Namjoon with the baby carrier. She gently lifted her granddaughter out, cradling her with the utmost care. "She's grown so much! Look at her, just beautiful."

Y/N's father came over too, smiling proudly. "It's so good to have you all here. We've missed you."

"We've missed you too, Dad," Y/N said, giving her father a hug before they all headed inside.

Once inside, they settled into the cozy living room. Y/N's parents had already prepared snacks and set up the guest room for them to stay. Namjoon and Y/N relaxed on the couch while Y/N's mother cooed over her granddaughter, rocking her gently in her arms.

The day passed by in a warm, familial blur. Y/N's mother doted on her granddaughter, while Y/N and Namjoon enjoyed catching up with her parents. They shared stories, laughed, and reminisced about the past.

As evening fell, Y/N's father prepared a delicious dinner, and they all sat down at the table together, enjoying the meal as a family. Their daughter was peaceful, occasionally making small sounds from her high chair, and Y/N couldn't help but smile at how perfect everything felt.

After dinner, they moved back to the living room, where Y/N's parents took turns holding their granddaughter while Namjoon and Y/N relaxed on the couch. It was one of those rare, simple moments where life felt perfect and content.

Later that night, after their daughter had fallen asleep in her crib, Namjoon and Y/N sat outside on the porch, enjoying the cool night air. The stars were out, twinkling brightly against the dark sky.

"This was a good idea," Y/N said softly, leaning her head on Namjoon's shoulder. "I'm glad we came."

"Me too," Namjoon replied, wrapping his arm around her. "It's nice to slow down and spend time with family. It reminds me of what's important."

Y/N nodded in agreement. "I think our daughter loved it too. She's going to grow up surrounded by so much love."

Namjoon smiled, pressing a kiss to her temple. "And that's all I could ever want for her."

As they sat there together, watching the stars and listening to the peaceful sounds of the night, they both felt a sense of gratitude for the life they were building—a life filled with love, family, and the simple joys that made everything worthwhile.
