The gentle hum of Namjoon's music filled the room, creating a peaceful atmosphere as Y/N rested on the couch in his studio. The soothing melodies, combined with the occasional sound of Namjoon clicking away at his keyboard, made her feel at ease. Every so often, she would glance over at him, watching the way his brow furrowed in concentration, his fingers deftly moving across the controls.A little while later, Namjoon finished his work for the day and turned his attention back to Y/N. He noticed she was dozing off, her breathing steady and calm. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he walked over to her, careful not to wake her up too suddenly.
“Y/N,” he whispered, gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “It’s time to go home, love.”
She stirred at his touch, slowly opening her eyes and blinking up at him with a soft smile. “Hmm, already?” she mumbled, stretching her arms above her head.
“Yeah, you should rest in a more comfortable place,” Namjoon replied, helping her to her feet. “Come on, let’s get you home.”
Y/N nodded, taking his hand as they made their way out of the studio. The company was quieter than usual, with most people already gone for the day. It was just the two of them as they rode the elevator down to the parking garage, the stillness of the evening settling around them like a warm blanket.
Once they were in the car, Namjoon reached over to hold her hand, his thumb gently stroking the back of it as he drove. Y/N gazed out of the window, the city lights twinkling in the distance, her mind filled with thoughts of how much had changed over the past few months. The journey had been challenging at times, but with Namjoon by her side, she felt ready to face anything that came their way.
When they arrived home, Y/N let out a sigh of relief as she stepped inside. The familiar warmth of their home instantly made her feel more at ease. Namjoon led her to the couch, where she gratefully sat down, her body appreciating the soft cushions beneath her.
“You stay here, and I’ll make us some tea,” Namjoon said, leaning down to kiss her forehead before heading to the kitchen.
Y/N smiled as she watched him go, her heart swelling with love and appreciation for him. Even in the simplest of moments, Namjoon always made her feel cherished. As she waited for him to return, she absentmindedly rubbed her baby bump, feeling a strong connection to the life growing inside her.
A few minutes later, Namjoon returned with two steaming mugs of tea. He handed one to Y/N before sitting down beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they both settled into the couch.
“How are you feeling?” Namjoon asked, taking a sip of his tea.
“A little tired, but happy,” Y/N replied, resting her head against his shoulder. “Thank you for taking such good care of me.”
Namjoon chuckled softly. “It’s my pleasure. I just want to make sure you’re comfortable and that our baby is healthy.”
Y/N smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. “You’re going to be an amazing father, Namjoon. I can already see it.”
His expression softened at her words, and he placed a gentle kiss on her temple. “And you’re going to be the most wonderful mother. Our baby is so lucky to have you.”
They sat together in comfortable silence for a while, sipping their tea and enjoying each other’s company. The world outside could be chaotic and unpredictable, but in moments like this, it felt as though nothing else mattered.
As the evening wore on, the weariness of the day began to catch up with Y/N. She yawned, and Namjoon noticed immediately.
“Let’s head to bed,” he suggested, setting his empty mug on the coffee table. “You need your rest.”
Y/N nodded, allowing him to help her up from the couch. They made their way to the bedroom, where Y/N changed into her pajamas while Namjoon tidied up the bed. Once she was ready, she climbed under the covers, sighing contentedly as she felt the warmth of the blankets envelop her.
Namjoon joined her a moment later, sliding into bed beside her and pulling her close. His arms wrapped around her protectively, his hand finding its usual place on her baby bump. Y/N snuggled into him, feeling safe and secure in his embrace.
“Goodnight, Joonie,” she whispered, closing her eyes.
“Goodnight, Y/N,” he murmured back, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
Within minutes, they were both fast asleep, their breathing syncing as they drifted into a peaceful slumber. Tomorrow would bring new challenges and surprises, but for now, they had each other, and that was more than enough.
