The sun was beginning to set as Namjoon pulled into the driveway, feeling a mix of exhaustion and excitement. He had spent the day at the studio, but his mind kept drifting back to Y/N and their daughter. The thought of coming home to his little family always brought a smile to his face, and today was no different.

He grabbed his bag from the passenger seat and stepped out of the car, feeling the cool evening air on his skin. As he approached the front door, he could hear the faint sounds of Y/N's voice from inside, softly talking to their daughter. The sound made his heart swell with warmth.

Namjoon quietly opened the door and stepped inside, closing it gently behind him. He took a moment to hang up his coat and place his bag on the side table before making his way toward the living room.

As he entered the room, he found Y/N sitting on the couch, their daughter cradled in her arms. The baby was wide awake, her tiny hands reaching out toward Y/N’s face as she cooed happily. The sight made Namjoon’s heart skip a beat.

“Hey,” Namjoon said softly, not wanting to startle them.

Y/N looked up and smiled at him, her eyes lighting up with love. “Hey, welcome home.”

Namjoon crossed the room and leaned down to kiss Y/N’s forehead, then gently pressed a kiss to their daughter’s head. “How are my two favorite girls doing?”

“We’re good,” Y/N replied with a soft smile. “We had a busy day at the office, but she was such a good girl. How was your day?”

Namjoon sighed as he sat down beside Y/N, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “It was productive, but I missed you both. I couldn’t stop thinking about coming home.”

“We missed you too,” Y/N said, leaning into him. “She was really good today, but she missed her daddy.”

Namjoon smiled at that, his heart swelling with pride and love. He gently reached out and took their daughter’s tiny hand in his, marveling at how small and delicate it was. “I’m here now, princess,” he murmured to her, his voice full of tenderness.

The baby cooed in response, her wide eyes gazing up at him with curiosity. Namjoon’s heart melted all over again, and he felt a deep sense of gratitude for the life they had created together.

For a while, they simply sat there, enjoying the peacefulness of the moment. Namjoon’s hand remained on their daughter’s, while his other arm stayed wrapped around Y/N. It was in moments like these that he realized just how much his life had changed—how much fuller, richer, and more meaningful it had become.

“She’s growing so fast,” Namjoon said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. “I feel like she was just born yesterday, and now she’s already three months old.”

Y/N nodded, her eyes fixed on their daughter. “I know. It’s amazing how quickly time is passing. Every day she learns something new, and I can’t wait to see who she becomes.”

Namjoon smiled, leaning down to kiss Y/N’s cheek. “She’s going to be incredible, just like her mom.”

Y/N blushed slightly, turning to look at him. “And just like her dad.”

They shared a tender look before turning their attention back to their daughter. The baby had started to drift off to sleep, her tiny eyelids fluttering as she fought to stay awake. Y/N gently rocked her, humming a soft lullaby that Namjoon recognized as one of her favorite songs.

As their daughter finally succumbed to sleep, Y/N carefully placed her in the bassinet beside the couch. Namjoon helped adjust the blankets around her, making sure she was comfortable and warm. When they were certain she was settled, they both sat back on the couch, their hands intertwined.

“I’m so grateful for you, Y/N,” Namjoon whispered, his voice full of emotion. “For our family. For everything.”

Y/N squeezed his hand, her heart full of love. “I’m grateful for you too, Namjoon. This… all of this… it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.”

They leaned in for a gentle kiss, a silent promise of their love and commitment to each other and their family. As they pulled back, they rested their foreheads together, content in the knowledge that they were building a beautiful life together—one filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their daughter.

The evening continued quietly, with Namjoon and Y/N cuddled together on the couch, talking about their day and their hopes for the future. Eventually, they drifted off to sleep, their daughter resting peacefully beside them, the room filled with the warmth and love of their little family.
