The long flight had finally ended, and Y/N, Namjoon, and their daughter stepped off the plane, their exhaustion slowly catching up with them. Despite the fatigue, the flight had been smooth, and their daughter had been surprisingly calm throughout. They made their way through the terminal, navigating the usual post-flight routine—getting through customs, and now waiting at the baggage claim.

As they waited for their luggage, Namjoon's phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw it was his manager. Answering the call, he stepped a few feet away from Y/N, his face becoming serious as the conversation continued. Y/N watched him, concerned by the sudden shift in his demeanor. After a few moments, Namjoon ended the call and walked back toward her, his expression tight with frustration.

"What happened?" Y/N asked, cradling their daughter closely, feeling a slight worry start to build.

Namjoon sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Apparently, some fans and reporters found out we were arriving today. They're outside, waiting for us. My manager and bodyguards are there, but..." He trailed off, his jaw clenching.

Y/N's heart sank. While she had been used to Namjoon's fame and the occasional attention from fans, things felt different now. They had their daughter, and the thought of her being exposed to that kind of chaos made Y/N uneasy. Namjoon had always been protective of their privacy, but now, with their daughter in the picture, that protectiveness had amplified.

As they collected their luggage, Namjoon stayed close to Y/N, his protective instincts kicking in. They moved toward the exit, where the manager and bodyguards were waiting for them. The moment they stepped outside, they were met with the sight of flashing cameras, fans shouting for Namjoon's and Y/N's attention, and reporters aggressively pushing forward to get a glimpse of the family.

Y/N instinctively pulled her daughter's hood over her head, shielding her face from the cameras. The noise was overwhelming, the crowd pressing closer as they walked toward the car. Namjoon's hand stayed on her lower back, guiding her through the throng of people. But in the chaos, their hands slipped apart for a brief moment.

Panic flickered in Y/N's chest as she glanced around, her grip on their daughter tightening. She was getting slightly anxious, her heart racing. Before the feeling could fully take hold, Namjoon found her hand again, squeezing it reassuringly. His presence grounded her, but the situation around them was escalating.

As they neared the car, one of the reporters suddenly lunged forward, reaching toward Y/N and their daughter, desperate to snap a picture. Y/N instinctively turned her body to shield her baby, but Namjoon saw it happen, and his expression darkened with anger.

"Don't you dare touch her!" Namjoon's voice boomed above the noise, his normally calm demeanor cracking with fury. His protective side flared up in full force, his eyes narrowing at the reporter who had crossed the line.

His manager and bodyguards quickly intervened, forming a tight barrier around Namjoon, Y/N, and their daughter. The bodyguard closest to them stepped between Y/N and the reporter, pushing him back and blocking any further attempts to intrude on their space.

The crowd quieted slightly, stunned by Namjoon's outburst. His anger was palpable, and even the fans—who were used to his kindness—could see how serious he was about protecting his family. His manager was already talking to security, making sure the situation was controlled, while the bodyguards ensured no one could get any closer.

Y/N's heart was pounding, but she kept her head down, holding their daughter tightly as they continued walking toward the car. The bodyguards quickly ushered them inside, closing the doors firmly behind them. The noise of the crowd was muffled as the car pulled away from the airport, but the tension lingered in the air.

Namjoon sat beside her, his jaw still clenched, but his hand found hers once again. He took a deep breath, calming himself as he looked at Y/N and their daughter, who was thankfully still asleep through all the commotion.

"I'm sorry about that," he said softly, his voice heavy with frustration. "I didn't think it would be this bad."

Y/N shook her head, offering him a small smile. "It's okay. You did your best to protect us. That's what matters."

Namjoon's gaze softened as he looked at her, his protective instincts still humming beneath the surface. "I won't let anything happen to you or her. I promise."

Y/N leaned into him, her heart calming down as she rested her head on his chest. Despite the chaos outside, she knew they were safe now, and that Namjoon would always make sure of that. The road ahead may be filled with challenges, but together, they would face whatever came their way.
