As they sat at the breakfast table, enjoying a simple meal of toast, eggs, and fruit, Y/N couldn't help but feel content. Their daughter was peacefully napping in her crib upstairs, and for the first time in what felt like ages, they had a quiet moment to themselves.
Namjoon looked up from his plate, a small, thoughtful smile playing on his lips. Y/N noticed the way he seemed a bit distracted, as if he had something on his mind. She reached across the table and lightly touched his hand.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked, her voice soft and curious.
Namjoon looked up at her, his eyes warm and filled with affection. "I've been planning something," he began, a hint of excitement in his tone. "Something I think you'll like."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What is it?"
Namjoon set down his fork and leaned back in his chair, his smile widening. "I've arranged for us to go on a little vacation in two weeks. Just the three of us—our first family trip."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise, and a smile spread across her face. "Really? Where are we going?"
Namjoon chuckled softly, clearly pleased with her reaction. "It's a surprise. But it's somewhere peaceful, where we can relax and just enjoy being together without any distractions."
Y/N felt a rush of happiness at the thought. A vacation sounded like exactly what they needed—a chance to step away from their busy lives and focus on each other and their daughter. But then a thought crossed her mind, and she frowned slightly.
"What about work, though?" she asked, concern creeping into her voice. "Both of us have responsibilities, and I know things have been busy for you."
Namjoon reached across the table and took her hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I've already taken care of it," he said gently. "I talked to the company, and they agreed that I could take some time off. They know how important this is to me—to us."
Y/N relaxed at his words, her heart swelling with gratitude. Namjoon always knew how to make her feel cared for and supported, even when she worried about things beyond her control. She squeezed his hand back, a smile returning to her lips.
"I can't believe you planned all of this," she said, her voice filled with affection. "You're amazing, you know that?"
