The following morning, the house was filled with the soft sounds of early morning light filtering through the curtains and the gentle coos of their daughter waking up. Y/N stirred first, her body still adjusting to the fragmented sleep that came with motherhood. She turned to see Namjoon still asleep beside her, his arm draped protectively over her waist.Y/N smiled softly, then quietly slipped out of bed to tend to their daughter. She gently lifted her from the crib, and her daughter let out a little yawn, her tiny fists clenching in response to the morning air. Y/N rocked her gently, humming a soft lullaby as she walked towards the kitchen to warm a bottle.
The house was quiet and peaceful, and as Y/N prepared to feed her baby, she found herself reflecting on the whirlwind of events that had led them to this point. From the public announcement of her pregnancy to their first family vacation, every step had been filled with joy, challenges, and an overwhelming sense of love.
A few moments later, as she settled into a chair to feed her daughter, she heard soft footsteps behind her. Namjoon appeared in the doorway, rubbing his eyes sleepily but smiling when he saw Y/N with their daughter in her arms.
"Morning," he said, his voice deep and husky from sleep. He walked over to her, leaning down to press a kiss on her forehead and then one on their daughter's tiny head. "You should have woken me up. I wanted to help."
Y/N shook her head, smiling up at him. "You needed the rest. You've been helping so much lately."
Namjoon sat down beside her, watching as their daughter eagerly drank from the bottle. "She's growing so fast," he said quietly, his voice filled with awe. "Every day, it feels like she's changing."
Y/N nodded, feeling the same sense of wonder. "I know. It feels like just yesterday we brought her home, and now... she's already a few months old."
After a few more moments, their daughter finished her bottle and began to drift off again. Y/N placed her back in her crib, making sure she was comfortable before returning to Namjoon's side. They sat together in the kitchen, enjoying the rare quiet moment.
"We've been through a lot these past few months," Namjoon said, breaking the silence. "But I think we're handling everything pretty well."
Y/N chuckled softly. "I think so too. It hasn't been easy, but we've managed to find a balance."
Namjoon nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I've been thinking... about our future. Now that we're settling into this new routine, I want to make sure we keep finding time for each other. It's easy to get caught up in everything—work, the baby, the craziness of our lives. But I don't want us to forget about *us*."
Y/N smiled, touched by his words. "I agree. We need to make time for ourselves, even if it's just little moments here and there. Like the night, in the jacuzzi. That was perfect."
Namjoon smiled at the memory. "Yeah, it was. Maybe we can plan more of those quiet moments. And once our daughter gets a bit older, we could even take her on more trips, like the one we just had."
"I'd love that," Y/N said, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I want her to see the world with us, experience different things."
Namjoon wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. "We'll make it happen. We'll give her everything."
As they sat together, the warmth of their love and the promise of their future wrapped around them like a comforting blanket. They had faced challenges and would face more in the future, but they knew that as long as they had each other, they could get through anything.
For now, they were content to sit in the quiet, enjoying the calm before the next adventure. And whatever that adventure would be, they knew they were ready to face it together.
