A few hours had passed, and the hospital room was quiet, filled with the soft hum of machines and the gentle rustling of blankets. Y/N and Namjoon were still wrapped up in the blissful cocoon of their new reality. Their baby girl had been sleeping peacefully in Y/N’s arms, but now she began to stir, her tiny eyes fluttering open as she made soft, mewling noises.

“She’s waking up,” Y/N whispered, looking down at their daughter with a smile. Her heart swelled with love as she watched the tiny movements of their newborn.

Namjoon, who had been sitting close by, leaned in, his eyes filled with concern and awe. “Do you think she’s hungry?” he asked softly, still adjusting to the idea that this little person was entirely dependent on them.

“Maybe,” Y/N replied, stroking their daughter’s soft cheek. “But before that… would you like to hold her?”

Namjoon froze for a moment, his eyes widening in surprise. “Me? I don’t know… What if I don’t do it right? What if I hurt her?”

Y/N chuckled softly at his nervousness. “You won’t hurt her, Joonie. You’ll be perfect. She’s your daughter too, and she’s been waiting for her daddy to hold her.”

Namjoon hesitated, his hands fidgeting slightly as he looked down at the tiny bundle in Y/N’s arms. The thought of holding their daughter filled him with both excitement and fear. She seemed so fragile, so delicate—what if he didn’t hold her the right way?

But Y/N’s gentle encouragement gave him the push he needed. With a deep breath, he nodded. “Okay… okay, I’ll do it.”

Y/N smiled and carefully transferred their daughter into Namjoon’s arms. “Just support her head like this,” she instructed, guiding his hands to cradle the baby properly.

Namjoon followed her lead, his heart pounding as he finally held their daughter close. She was so small, so light, and yet, in that moment, he felt the full weight of what it meant to be her father. All the nervousness and fear melted away as he gazed down at her tiny face, which was now relaxed and peaceful in his arms.

“Hi, baby girl,” Namjoon whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I’m your daddy.”

As he spoke, their daughter’s tiny hand reached out, grasping his finger with surprising strength. Namjoon’s breath hitched in his throat as he felt the connection between them deepen, a bond that was already so strong, even though she was only hours old.

“She’s perfect,” Namjoon breathed, unable to take his eyes off his daughter. “I can’t believe… I can’t believe she’s ours.”

Y/N watched them with tears in her eyes, her heart bursting with love for the two most important people in her life. Seeing Namjoon hold their daughter for the first time was a moment she would treasure forever. She quickly reached for her phone, wanting to capture this beautiful moment.

“Smile, Joonie,” she whispered, holding up her phone to take a picture.

Namjoon looked up at her, a soft, loving smile spreading across his face as he held their daughter close. The love and pride in his eyes were undeniable, and Y/N’s heart fluttered at the sight.

She snapped the picture, capturing the tender moment between father and daughter. It was perfect—Namjoon’s gentle smile, their daughter’s tiny hand gripping his finger, and the overwhelming love that filled the room.

“There,” Y/N said softly, lowering the phone. “Now we’ll always have this memory.”

Namjoon looked at the picture on her phone and then back at their daughter, who had settled comfortably in his arms. “I’m so glad you took that,” he said, his voice filled with gratitude. “I never want to forget this moment.”

“You won’t,” Y/N replied, reaching out to stroke their daughter’s hair. “And neither will she. She’s going to grow up knowing just how much her daddy loves her.”

Namjoon’s eyes softened, and he leaned down to press a gentle kiss to their daughter’s forehead. “I promise to always be here for you,” he whispered to her. “To protect you, to love you, and to be the best father I can be.”

Y/N’s heart swelled with emotion as she listened to Namjoon’s words. She knew that he would keep that promise—that he would be the most amazing father their daughter could ever have.

As they sat together, the three of them in that quiet hospital room, Y/N felt a deep sense of contentment. They were a family now, and nothing could ever take that away. She leaned her head on Namjoon’s shoulder, closing her eyes as she let the peacefulness of the moment wash over her.

Namjoon, still holding their daughter close, wrapped his arm around Y/N, pulling her into their little family embrace. In that moment, everything was perfect, and they both knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
