It was the following weekend, and Namjoon’s sister was on her way to visit, excited to spend some time with her newborn niece. She had carefully selected some gifts for the baby and even made sure to bring along some desserts for Namjoon and Y/N, knowing they could use a little treat. As she arrived at their home, she was warmly greeted by Y/N at the door. Y/N smiled brightly, though still a bit tired from the sleepless nights of new parenthood. Namjoon’s sister handed her the desserts with a cheerful grin.
“I thought you two could use something sweet,” she said, giving Y/N a quick hug.
“Thank you so much! You didn’t have to,” Y/N replied, touched by her kindness.
“And I couldn’t come without bringing something for my niece,” Namjoon’s sister added, holding up a bag filled with tiny, adorable outfits and soft toys.
Y/N’s smile widened. “She’s going to love it all. Come on in; Namjoon’s in the living room with her.”
They made their way into the living room, where a heartwarming sight greeted them. Namjoon was reclining on the couch, his daughter lying peacefully on his chest. Her tiny fingers were curled around the fabric of his shirt, and she was breathing softly, lost in her little dreams.
Namjoon looked up as they entered, a gentle smile spreading across his face. “Hey, you’re here,” he greeted his sister warmly.
His sister paused for a moment, her eyes softening as she took in the sight of her brother with his daughter. It was clear that Namjoon had fully embraced fatherhood, and seeing him like this filled her heart with warmth.
“She’s so beautiful,” she whispered, not wanting to disturb the peaceful moment.
Namjoon nodded, his gaze shifting down to his daughter. “Yeah, she is,” he replied softly, his voice filled with awe. “I still can’t believe she’s here sometimes.”
Y/N and Namjoon’s sister moved closer, both of them settling down on the couch beside Namjoon. His sister carefully placed the gifts on the coffee table, her attention still on the little one resting on her brother’s chest.
“She’s so tiny,” she said, her voice tinged with amazement. “And she looks so content.”
Namjoon chuckled lightly. “She loves to nap here. I think she likes the sound of my heartbeat.”
Y/N reached over and gently stroked her daughter’s back, feeling a wave of affection for both her baby and Namjoon. “She’s definitely a daddy’s girl already,” she said with a smile.
Namjoon’s sister smiled, reaching out to softly touch her niece’s hand. The baby stirred slightly but didn’t wake, her tiny fingers flexing at the gentle contact.
“Can I hold her?” Namjoon’s sister asked, her voice full of excitement and a hint of nervousness.
Namjoon nodded, carefully lifting his daughter from his chest and placing her in his sister’s waiting arms. She cradled the baby with the utmost care, her heart swelling with love as she gazed down at her niece.
“She’s perfect,” she murmured, rocking the baby gently.
Y/N watched with a smile, feeling grateful for the love and support from Namjoon’s family. It was clear that their daughter was going to be surrounded by so much love as she grew up.
They spent the rest of the afternoon together, talking and laughing while doting on the baby. Namjoon’s sister shared stories of their childhood, making Y/N laugh and Namjoon roll his eyes in mock exasperation.
As the afternoon turned into evening, Namjoon’s sister reluctantly handed the baby back to Y/N, who placed her in her bassinet to sleep. She hugged Namjoon and Y/N tightly before leaving, promising to visit again soon.
After she left, Namjoon and Y/N sat together on the couch, reflecting on the day. They were both filled with a sense of peace and contentment, knowing their daughter was already loved by so many.
“She’s going to have such a wonderful family,” Y/N said, leaning her head on Namjoon’s shoulder.
Namjoon smiled, wrapping his arm around her. “Yeah, she is. And we’re going to make sure she grows up knowing just how loved she is.”
As they sat there, watching their daughter sleep peacefully, they knew they were ready to face whatever the future held, together as a family.
