“Just a few months till our baby's gender reveal. I'm so excited.” Reil said, sitting on the chair opposite Drix in his office at home.

He'd been busy with work-related stuff that she was bored, just sitting down and watching him work.

She'd been working also, but she didn't have much to do since Sarah had ensured she did everything so as not to stress a pregnant woman.

A smile appeared on his lips. “I'm equally excited and can't wait to know the gender of our treasure.”

“I want the gender reveal to be done in a grand way.” She stared at her stomach which had already gotten bigger.

She'd been visiting the hospital frequently to check if all was well, and thank goodness, all was well.

Ivy had been visiting regularly to check if she was doing well, and was helping her with things she needed (though she didn't really need much).

Things had been awkward at first after the apology, but they'd gone back to familiar terms soon.

She was still pained that Ivy had done something so heinous, but the past was in the past.

No need to let it affect the present and future.

“Drix.”

“Hmm.” The sound of him typing on the computer keyboard filled the office. His gaze was directed to the screen.

“I've decided to take over the next company from Bale.” She said what she'd been thinking about for days.

He stopped typing to stare at her with a raised brow. “Really? How?”

She bit her lower lip. “I'm not sure. I mean, I've got an idea, but I need some spices to add to it so I can take over the Real Estate Group.”

The Real Estate Group was the second biggest of the five companies.

It was under the Sales Group at first, but it made too much profits, it had to become a group of its own to be taken care of.

She knew if she wanted to take it over from Bale, she was going to need a lot of effort and working.

Bale. She was coming for him.

It was time to help the company from the hand of someone like Bale.

“What?! You want to take over the Real Estate Group?!” Sarah exclaimed, drawing her brows together.

“Yeah,” Reil leaned back against her office chair, “why's that a problem?”

“So soon?” She placed her left hand on her left hip, “didn't you take the Health Group like— yesterday?”

“I want him to know my capability as a businesswoman.” She said, “he should know that I wasn't joking when I said I was going to take over all the company.”

“You seriously are going to take all the companies from him?” Sarah asked in slight concern, inviting herself to the seat opposite her.

“You thought I was joking?”

“Do you hate Bale that much?” There was concern in her tone and Reil couldn't understand why.

“Hate's a strong word, so I don't think I'd use that,” she thought of what she felt towards him, “more like— dislike.”

Sarah rolled her eyes. “Can I ask you something?”

What on earth was going on? “Yeah…”

“If he was to be said dead now, how would you feel?”

Dead? That was too much.

She didn't like Bale a bit, but wouldn't want him dead. Ivy would be really hurt. Same with Sean.

And Trisha would end up as a widow. Finn would lose his father. And the house would be different negatively.

“I don't want him dead.” But what the heck was wrong with Sarah that she was suddenly asking such weird questions.

“But how is that related to me wanting to take the next company from Bale?”

“I just feel like you're being a little too mean,” she said, “he's worked all his life to get these companies. What do you think would happen to him when you take it all from him?”

Oh, she knew where the conversation was going.

“Has he really never done anything for you since you were born that'd show his brotherly side?”

Brotherly side?

She cringed at that word. It was weird talking about Bale as a brother rather than an enemy.

But had he ever done anything good for her?

“I find this conversation to be very discomforting.” Which was true. It was weird seeing Sarah act so serious.

Sarah sighed, rising to her feet. “All I'm saying is,” she headed towards the couch, “you should reconsider taking all five companies from him.”

Should she reconsider? Maybe she was actually not thinking straight about taking all the companies from him.

He'd spent all his life working for everything and she was just coming over to take it from him.

Even though he deserved it, she should maybe just leave him alone and get over all the childhood pain he'd caused.

Maybe she should leave him with a mark that he'd know she isn't what he thought she was.

She should let him know that she had business sense in her.

“I'll take over the Real Estate Group,” she called out, stopping Sarah's movement, “then I'll leave him alone.”

Sarah turned to her, then smiled. “Finally, what I've been waiting to hear.”

“The next board meeting's in three weeks.” Reil said, “so we have three weeks to prepare for what we have to do.”

Sarah nodded. “Then why don't we get to business then.”

Okay. She really was doing the right thing. Bale should be thankful she was leaving him with something.

Now, time to hatch her plan.
