I love you so much

the streets are quite busy today. there are usually only a couple on the streets at this time including the people who sell things but it is very busy. more people is a good thing it makes it easier to steal without being caught. yes we have plenty of money that Kai brought from the castle and yes he wants me to use it but stealing is so much more fun. It's fun to piss him off.

I am on my way back to our house now. after I stole a warmer blanket than the one we have at home, some apples and some bread, I decided I should go home to Kai. when I get back I open the door and immediately see him standing facing me with his arms crossed looking pissed. "um hi" I say as I close the door and walk into the kitchen. 

he follows me. "don't "um hi" me Gray. I thought I told you to stop stealing from these people and to use the money." oh boy here we go again. 

"and I told you I think we should save it for if we really need it" I say putting the food down and walking to the bedroom to put the blanket away. 

"oh my God you stole a blanket from that old lady?" he asks looking at the blanket in my arms. "you are such a pain in my ass" 

"but you love me dispite me being a pain in your ass" I smile and he rolls his eyes. "and no I didn't steal a blanket from the old lady I stole it from someone else"

he looks at me like he doesn't believe me. "I promise I would never steal from children or old people" I say and he slowly nods still probably not believing me. "I would never lie to you"

I lied to him. not about the children part but the old people part. I steal from old people all the damn time. I just did a minute ago. I stole a shirt from an old man. 

it is the next day and it is so fucking hot today. Kai is back home trying to find a way to open our windows since our house is hotter than hell. I think we are going through a heat wave or something. 

I am trying to avoid going home because I have a bruise on my cheek from where a shopkeeper slapped me after stealing a knife but I easily took him down. Kai is going to be pissed if he knows another man hit me..... at least I think he will be pissed honestly I don't know anymore. 

I get to our house "please don't be pissed please don't be pissed" I whisper as I open the door. 

he is pissed. it took him 2.3 seconds to realize I had a bruise EVEN WITH MY SCARF OVER MY FACE

"who did this to you?" I don't answer his question as he puts his hands on my face. "you better tell me who the hell did this to you darling" 

he isn't wearing a shirt and his bare chest is very distracting. I look up into his eyes. "hi handsome" I whisper trying to change the subject 

"don't change the subject Gray. who. did. this. to. you." he says keeping my head up so I cant look at his very distracting very hot chest. 

"I was taking a knife and a shopkeeper slapped me" 

"did you beat his ass up?" 

"yes and I got you this" I say holding up a knife with a willow tree carved in the handle. it reminded me of the willow tree where Ava is buried so I got it for him. he carefully takes the knife from my hands and looks at it. his face turns sad in a minute he is not wearing one of his masks. 

"a willow tree," he whispers 

"for Ava" I whisper to him gently taking his hand and kissing it. "I love you so much" I say quietly as I watch him looking at the knife. 

"I love you too" he says putting the knife on the table and hugging me tightly. the house is so hot and this hug is making me even hotter but for some reason I don't mind. I run my hands up and down his naked back as he buries his face in my neck. "thank you so much" he whispers 

"for the knife?" I ask a little confused 

"for everything" he whispers before kissing the top of my head gently.
