Trial 1 Day 1

Pae's POV

when I wake up I am no longer in Kai's arms. I have the worst headache of my life so I sit up slowly. I am on a beach and behind me is a forest. I must be on the beach of the shallows with the whispers behind me. after I look around for a few minutes I see a sight walking away but other than him there is no one. I am still in my pants and tank top I put on last night after me and Kai had some fun and they put boots on me along with taking off my engagement ring. at least I wont lose it or get it super dirty. after reaching into my pocket I take out the note. 

rhyming is kInd of dumb.     
this task is Not for the slums.   
you might hAve to fighT.     
some might think it is not Right. 

find the gold blade.     
make sure not to tradE.     
in one wEek tIme bring the blade to the Stone When the nigHt is at its primE.

of couRsE you must survIve iT.     
to Bring the knifE to the stone.

wow real original Kitt. he takes right after his father with this whole rhyming thing. I couldn't care less if I found this knife blade thing  but I am really competitive and I need to beat Blair. there is no way that bitch is winning.  I look at the note again when I realize that there are words that are capitalized that shouldn't be. also what the fuck does he mean by 'If you survive it'? is the blade knife thing cursed or something? I shove the note in my pocket again because those letters are probably important but I need food and water now if I am going to survive to even get to read the note again. I would drink the water from the shallows but ocean water is too salty for a human to drink without getting even more dehydrated. here we are again. me walking through the  whispers trying to find water. 

Kai's POV 

I hate not knowing if Pae is okay or if she is even still alive. I'm sure she is fine she is a strong woman. that is what I keep telling myself as I walk through the whispers trying to find fresh water. I have been walking for about 2 hours since I woke up and if I piss off one more snake by stepping on it I might kill the sight who wont stop following me just because he is the closest person near me. "she is fine she is fine she is-" I mutter but  a knife to my throat cuts me off. I can tell it is Blair holding the knife to my throat because it is floating in mid air. I really should have been paying attention to who's powers were near me. "Blair this is Paedyn's thing. would you mind holding a knife to any other part of my body?" I say calmly as she floats down from the tree in front of me. 

"hi asshole" she says moving the knife closer to my neck but I am not amused. Pae has actually cut me so this is nothing. plus I can literally use Blair's power and move it at any time.  

"hi bitchy Blair" that makes her roll her eyes. 

"so this is how this is going to go, you are going to give me your note and I will let you live" that makes me laugh. 

"why the hell would I do that?" I ask

"because someones note has a map on it and I plan on winning this. we can do this the easy way or the hard way" she isn't wrong about someones note having clues or a map on it because that is what mine said as well but if there is a map on mine there is no way in hell I am giving it to Blair. I can't do that to Pae. 

"The hard way" I say before using her power and turning the knife around pointing it at her throat. she looks pissed and grabs the knife throwing it at me. I catch it with the power before it can hit my heart. "not nice Blair" I say before throwing the knife into the forest so she can't find it. I am not going to kill her. another thing I won't do to Pae, Blair is not mine to kill. 

she charges at me and tries to punch me but misses sadly. after a few tries I realize she is hurt because this is not her best. she has almost beaten me many times this is not like her. as she tries to land a blow to me I look her over realizing there is blood dripping down to her ankle and a cut on the side of her leg and one on her shoulder. "Blair we both know you are not winning this." I say calmly catching her flying hand and holding it. "who did you fight already?" I ask as I quickly swoop her feet out from under her. 

she wraps her legs around my neck and pulls me down onto my back pinning me down and holding a stick to my neck making it very hard to breathe. "just give me the damn note asshole" she yells. 

"never" I say flipping her on her back and holding the sick against her neck making it so her cant breathe at all. when she looks like she is about to pass out I am satisfied so I pull the stick off of her neck and I stand up as she gasps for air. "you are lucky I am not Paedyn or that Mak guy because I am not sure they are going to show you mercy like I did. I'd watch your back if I were you" I grab her note before walking away tying vines around her with her powers that will take a while to get out of even with her powers. just in case she tries to follow me. now back to finding food, water and Pae.
