Kitt

Kai POV 

"Pae are we really about to do this?" I ask. we are standing outside the castle about to go in. I am surprised that none of the guards have spotted us yet. I knew I should have trained them better but whatever. 

"yes we are. I know it makes no sense to you but Adena told me I have to be there for you both" she says looking at me. it was about a month and a half ago that she almost died and ever since then she has been saying that she saw Adena and she told her to let go of what happened and to be there for me and Kitt. once she was healed enough we made the trip back across the scorches and here we are. 

"I don't know about this darling. he was pretty mad when I left." I say as she starts walking towards the castle. I don't know why but my feet are following her. she ignores me and keeps walking. i keep trying to get her to look at me or talk but she just keeps ignoring me "Pae is this your way of telling me you want to be with my brother instead?" that got her attention because she stops and turns around to face me. 

"say that I love your brother more than I love you and see what happens" she looks pissed 

"I was just kidding Pae. I only wanted your attention" I say 

"don't ever think shit like that Azer." she says before kissing me and turning to keep walking 

we walk In silence and once we get closer to the castle the guards finally see us and they rush over grabbing her arms and cuffing her hands. they give me one look before doing the same to me. I am confused before I remember the notes I left Andy, Jax and my mother. one of them is a snitch and told that I ran away with Pae.... or my brother finally stopped being stupid and realized I betrayed him. even though I can use their powers to get out of these damn cuffs I don't. Pae asked me to play nice unless they try to kill us so that is what I am going to do. 

we walk through the halls of the palace people staring at us the whole time. finally we make it to the throne room. where my brother is sitting on his throne. damn he looks worse than the last time I saw him. the guards make us kneel in front of Kitt and I see him holding my mothers note. she must have told him. shit. 

"enforcer," Kitt says not looking at me or Pae 

"king," I answer. damn I think I am going to die now.
