Kai's POV
to say I am mad at my brother is an understatement. I am pissed. he knows me and Pae are practically engaged and he decides to make us compete in another set of purging trials since the last ones ended..... wonderfully.
Paedyn hasn't moved from her spot on my chest yet. we have been laying here in silence for about an hour. we both know that this is probably the last morning she can spend in my arms for a while since we are being moved to different rooms today. the same ones we were in a year ago but my asshole brother is probably going to move our rooms so we are far apart. we are also finding out who the rest of the people in the trials are today so that is weighing on both of our minds.
as soon as we get out of this bed we are forced to face the fact of competing in another set of trials. "Kai" she whispers so quietly I know she is about to tell me we have to get out of bed.
"no" is all I manage to say pulling her closer. "not yet"
"Kai" she repeats as she sits up he legs on either side of my hips. god she looks good on top. "someone is going to come looking for us soon"
"and I am supposed to care?" I say putting my hands on her bare thighs. all she is wearing is one of my shirts that she put on last night and damn she looks good in my clothing.
"we will have to get out of this bed at some point" she says
"I know but it doesn't have to be right now" before she can answer me I roll us over so she is pinned under me. "please stay in bed a little longer" I whisper kissing her nose softly.
she puts her hands in my hair and plays with the back of my head. "fine but only for a little longer."
"you're acting as if you don't want to be in bed with me Gray." I say with a small laugh.
"oh shut up and kiss me asshole" she laughs and I don't need to be asked twice.
I lower my lips to hers and she immediately responds by closing her eyes and moving her lips with mine. my hand moves to the back of her thigh and I pull her leg over my hips making her let out a quiet noise. I slowly grind against her making he let out more noises.
after about 4 minutes of torturing her I am about to pull my shirt off of her when there is a knock at the door.
"I told you they would send someone to get us and now you are all hard but we gotta go" she says breathlessly rolling her eyes.
I get out of bed with an annoyed groan. she isn't wrong about me being hard as fuck but I guess the asshole on the other side of this door doesn't care. when I swing the door open Andy jumps back covering her eyes.
"Jesus Christ man put on some clothes." she says still covering her eyes
"I am literally wearing pants" I say rolling my eyes.
"yeah I know that but I don't want to see all that skin its gross" she waves a hand at my chest as her other hand remands on her eyes.
"why are you here?" I ask annoyed
"you and your fiance... girl friend.... Paedyn. you guys need to come to the dining room Kitt is looking for you and the people from the slums are here and the dude is hot... um forget I said that.... just come on please" after that she hands me a list of all the people competing in the trials and she runs off.
I close the door and sit on the bed looking at the list with Pae. I know most of the people on here but the last two must be the people from the slums. I see the Mills brothers and sigh oh great this is going to be fun
