Kai's POV
I have been trying to keep myself busy since we got to Dor. I know I did the right thing by saving Pae but I cant help but feel guilty for leaving my mother and my brothers. I miss Jax a lot and my mother wasn't doing so well when I left. Pae has been out a lot; stealing food, clothes and other things we will need. I am still pissed she refuses to use the money I brought from my savings in the castle but it is what it is.
today I worked on fixing our bed to make it a little more sturdy.... not for any particular reason. now I am just sitting at our small table sharpening the knife Pae gave me. it makes me think of the willow tree where she is buried every time I look at it. I wonder if Kitt ever went to the tree for her birthday. I wonder if he is-
I am cut off mid thought when Paedyn stumbles in the house covered in blood. I immediately jump up and rush over to her as she crumbles to the floor. from what I can see she has a cut on her arm and one on her stomach. "Paedyn you have to wake up!" I shout as I pick her up and carry her to the bed. "Pae wake up" I say as I lay her down.
I dash around the house grabbing a shirt and a small box that has stuff to stitch her up if needed. "please be okay please" I say as I wrap the cut on her arm and I lift up her shirt. I can see her breathing slightly as I stitch her stomach. I carefully wrap another piece of the shirt around her.
"please don't die on me Pae I need you" I whisper kissing her head watching her breathe.
