tonight Kitt is throwing a ball for his birthday. I didn't want to go at first since I haven't talked to him since I got back but Kai convinced me to go. when I saw the dress the seamstress made me and the suit Kai is wearing I decided it wouldn't be so bad to go. when I put on the dress it shows the scar going down my neck and the O over my heart but after putting on a necklace and the seamstress pins the top a little you cant see them as much.

as I am getting my hair done I can't help but think about Adena. she should be the one getting me ready and the one who made my dress. I hate Blair with all my heart sole and body. I swear to god if she is at this ball tonight Kai might have to pry me off of her. if that bitch gets anywhere near me I will throw a knife at her myself.
the thoughts of Adena and Blair stay in my mind and I catch a tear on my thumb before it falls. Kai appears in the door with his very sexy suit and when he sees my sad face he tells the maids to leave. he walks up behind the chair I am sitting in and he looks into my eyes through the mirror in front of me as he puts his hands on my shoulders. "You're thinking about her aren't you?" he says quietly and when I nod he turns my chair around and crouches down in front of me.
putting his hands on my thighs one of his hands going through the slit on my right thigh he looks into my eyes. "we don't have to go tonight" he says quietly as he slowly rubs circles on my thighs.
I look down at him. "no I want to go... I just wish A had made me this dress" I say quietly.
"I know and I am so sorry. I love you " he reaches into his jacket and pulls out my fathers dagger. "hopefully this helps." he says and I smile lightly as I watch him put it on my thigh. Kai kisses my knee so softly before standing up and reaching for my hand. I take his hand and stand up.
"I love you too"

as usual all the women are wearing green but I could care less about looking different. when I walk down the steps into the ballroom I see Kai's face and even though he just saw me a few minutes ago he is staring at me like he has never seen me before.
I get to the bottom of the steps and he takes my hand kissing it before looking at me and leads me to a table. "you are the most beautiful woman in this entire world" he says as we walk.
"you literally just saw me a few minutes ago" I say with a smile
"yes well you are still the most beautiful woman" he pulls my chair out for me and we sit down. his hand immediately goes to my bare thigh through the slit in my dress.
we sit and talk for a while until I see that purple hair I have been wishing I wouldn't see. Kai looks over and sees her walking in with Kitt. once Kitt sees us sitting here he makes his way over to us with Blair by his side. my knee starts to bounce under the table as they walk over and I see Kai look down at my leg as he rubs his thumb across my thigh.
"well well well" I hear her annoying voice and I already want to stab her. "Paedyn It looks like we switched dates" Blair says as she sits down across from me and Kai with Kitt by her side. "that's a very pretty dress... too bad your little friend-"
"Blair why don't you do us all a favor and shut the hell up" Kai cuts her off.
"I was just going to say its too bad her friend couldn't be here for the purging trials" she says with a smirk
"What are you talking about?" Kai asks my question before I even have a chance to open my mouth.
"the last purging trials never really had a winner so there is going to be more." Kitt speaks up "with you two" he points to us. "Blair, Jax and Andy all wanted to compete again and we are waiting for the slums to pick 2 people to join. these trials will be different though."
"why do we have to be in them again?" Kai asks as he grips my thigh a little tighter. I can tell he is mad.
"because I said so" Kitt snaps back
Kai stands up quickly and I think he is about to punch Kitt but instead he reaches his hand out to me and when I take up his grip is tight. "Let's dance" is all he says as he pulls me away from that table.
we walk over to the dance floor a few people give me angry looks as I put my arms around Kai's neck and we begin to dance. there are only 4 other couples on the dance floor and everyone is staring at us. "Kai everyone is watching us" I say looking into his eyes.
"Let them because no matter how much they hate it and try to prevent it I will always love you" he says before gently kissing the tip of my nose and my forehead.
"but what if something happens in the trials?"
"shhh lets not think about that now and nothing will happen" he kisses my lips softly
