I wake up to kisses on my cheek and a hand moving up and down my bare thigh. I open one eye to see Kai sitting on the edge of the bed looking down at me. "good morning" I whisper rolling onto my back and stretching my arms.
"good morning sleepy head" he says smiling down at me. I look at the clock on the wall. 5:00 AM
"is there a reason you woke me up at an ungodly hour?" I sit up slowly completely forgetting I am still naked from last night.
he looks down at my newly reviled body and smirks before moving his eyes back to mine. "I want to take you somewhere" he says simply.
"where are you taking me?"
"I can't tell you that" he says leaning in and giving me a quick kiss before standing up. I stand up and his smirk grows as he looks down at my body. "you should probably get dressed. come to my room when you are done" he gives me a smack on my ass before walking out closing the door behind him.
the first trial is in 2 days. I don't think we are even allowed to leave our rooms besides for meals and the ball tomorrow but it is 5 in the morning and he is the enforcer so I think we will be fine.
after putting on a pair of pants and a shirt I brush my short hair and go out of my room stopping at his. he is waiting outside his room with his back to the door and when he sees me he smiles. "Let's go my love" he says taking my hand and walking me outside to the stables.
I protested a few times but eventually I am on a horse with him behind me. his hands on my thighs as the horse walks through the castle grounds. soon we make it to the whispers but Kai doesn't stop the horse. after what feels like hours of riding this damn horse he stops it. Kai slides off and helps me down taking the reins and tying them to a tree before leading me to a beautiful lake. the water is crystal clear and it is sparkling with the morning sun reflecting off of it.
"come on" Kai pulls me towards the lake "we are going swimming now that we aren't chained together" he takes off his shirt and I cant keep my eyes off of his perfect chest and beautifully tanned skin. "you won't need those clothes" he says with a smirk.
"asshole" I mutter as I take off my shirt and my pants he takes off the rest of his clothes and walks into the water. "what if someone sees us?"
"no one ever comes out here" he says as he goes waist deep in the water. I look around before quickly getting out of my underwear and following him into the water. when I reach him the water is up to his chest and up to my neck. I feel like he did this on purpose because when he picks me up wrapping my legs around his waist and putting his hands on my ass I know he planned to do that.
"are you going to try and drown me again?" I joke wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I told you I would never let you drown" he says so serious all of a sudden.
we just look at each other for a few seconds before i break the silence. "you know skinny dipping in some random lake is not what I had planned for today"
he chuckles and kisses my shoulder lightly before pulling back and saying. "oh yeah and what did you have planned for today?"
I shrug " I don't know, maybe sleeping all day"
he rolls his eyes "you and your sleep" he says before kissing me.

after one very hot very long sex session in the water me and Kai finally get out and dry off. my legs feel like jelly as I pull my clothes back on. when I turn back around to face him he is on one knee holding a ring.
"I know we are already engaged but I didn't do it right the first time." he says as I stand here stunned "this ring belonged to my mother and I want you to have it." he pauses "Paedyn Gray when I first met you... how do I say this... you were a pain in my ass." I am laughing as tears come out. "you were so moody holding knives to my throat and shit, it was annoying but once I got to know you I realized that I would let you hold a knife to my throat every day if it meant I got to look into those pretty blue eyes. My love you are not ordinary you are not a monster you are perfect, I love you so much. my pretty Pae I love you more than Kitt and my father and my mother and anyone else who has been in my life. and maybe the beast does get the beauty... will you marry me?"
I can't stop the tears that are pouring out of my eyes. I am already engaged to him so why am I crying? "yes yes yes yes" he stands up puts the ring on my finger and pulls me into his arms kissing me.
