Ash's P.O.VI grabbed my notebook and put it away, knowing that the bell was going to ring.
"Anyway, I was hoping you could come over to my party on Saturday." Miette said, looking at her nails.
"Me?" I looked over at Miette, surprised that she would want me to come to her party.
"Yeah, it'll be a blast." Miette clapped her hands together.
"Uh... sure, but only if I can bring a few friends over." I replied.
"Sure! Bring as many as you want!" Miette offered, smiling. "Can I get your phone number, I'll text you the information about the party." She held out a piece of paper and a pencil for me to write my phone number on.
"Oh- sorry, but I don't have a phone."
"Eh-" Miette looked at me, as if I was crazy and then said, "I guess I'll just write down the information about the party instead then." Miette took her pencil and then wrote down her address and put down that it would be on Saturday, which was in 2 days.
The bell rang, kids jumping out of their seats.
"I'll see ya tomorrow." I said, turning around and headed out of the classroom.
The moment I stepped out, I felt my heart give out a warm wave. There was Serena, walking down the hall.
I must admit that she really cute with her new haircut. I never thought that I would of saw Serena again once I moved. My mom and me would still argue, until finally she got fired from her job and I found a perfect job back over here for her and convinced her to move back. She actually agreed the moment I showed her, which I was purely happy about.
All I thought about was seeing Serena again. Man, that was a long time ago when I left. I felt really bad that I didn't text Serena though. I could tell that she was upset with me that I didn't. I really wish I didn't drop my phone and break it. That was stupid of me. Me and Serena have been talking more though, which I'm very happy about as well. She even made me some of those macaroons that she makes, those are the best.
Gary has actually been messing with me and making fun of me for having a crush on her in 8th grade, but I honestly still think I have feelings for her. I still feel the same when I hang around her and get all nervous, trying to not stutter and trying to not embarrass myself in front of her. Her smile and laugh still makes me gives me this weird feeling, a feeling that I can't describe.
I run up to her. "Hey, Serena."
"Oh- hey Ash." She turned around to face me.
"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Miette's party with me. I'll be bringing a bunch of other friends with me and if you want to bring anyone, you can."
"Really?" She looked up at me, her voice showing that she was surprised.
"Yeah." I gave her a grin.
"I mean-" She looked down at the ground. "Are you sure that Miette wants me to come?"
"I wouldn't worry about it."
"You're sure?" She looked back up at me.
"Yes, positive." I reassured her.
"Okay." She said, her voice unsure.
"It's on Saturday, do you want me to pick you up?"
"You can drive?" She looked up at me in surprise again. She was cute when she did that.
"Yeah." I rubbed the back of my head, sweat dropping. "So is that a yes or no?"
"Uh-" Serena hesitated. "I guess you could pick me up."
"Sweet, can you give me your address?" I asked.
"Yeah." Serena swung her backpack off her shoulder and looked through it. She took out one of her notebooks and ripped out a piece of paper. She then took out her pencil and wrote down her address and then handed it to me.
"Thanks." I took it and slipped it in the side pocket of my backpack.
"I'll see you tomorrow I guess?" She looked up at me as she put her backpack back on.
"Yeah, see ya." I smiled as she continued to walk down the hall and out the exit door, leaving me there with my heartbeat racing.
I couldn't believe that I lived through that, but I did.
I sighed in relief and headed toads the buses and then realized that I was gonna be late.
"Ah crap!" I ran down the hall and ran out the door towards the parking lot.
Once I reached the parking lot I saw that my bus was still there. I ran towards it and climbed onto it.
I looked around and saw everyone talking to each other or on their phones as usual.
I walked towards the back and saw Gary.
"Hey! Ashy-boy! Where've you been! I though you wouldn't of made it!" Gary laughed as he held a sucker in his mouth.
"Yeah, and I thought you wouldn't of made it passed 8th grade." I replied, taking the seat next to him.
"Ha ha. Very funny." He said sarcastically. "Now what took you so long."
"Oh, Miette wanted me to go to her party and I-"
"Woah, woah, WOAH." Gary looked over at me. "You're telling me that Miette, the Miette, asked you to come to her party on Saturday?"
"How did you know that it was Saturday?" I looked at him, confused.
"Cause I was invited stupid." He scoffed.
"Agh, anyway, she asked me to go and then I ran into Serena and asked her to with me and I'm still planning on who else to ask-"
"WHAT? WAIT! Ashy-boy, are you telling me that you invited Serena to this party?" Gary looked at me, practically astonished.
"Uh- yeah."
"You asked her out!?"
"What!? No!" I held up my hands in front of me and waved them around as I sweat dropped. I wish I did ask her out though.
"You got me all excited for nothing." Gary said, slouching back into the seat.
I decided to stay quiet, not wanting to tell him that I still had a crush on Serena and that I was picking her up for the party. Gary would easily plan something for that, that would probably be the end of me. I just hope I don't make a fool out of myself in front of Serena.
