The next three weeks had been one of the (if not the) busiest weeks of her life.

She left for work each day by seven in the morning and got back by eight in the night.

She had to attend to calls, sign contracts, visit companies and do so many other things just to be able to make her plan work.

It was more stressful considering the fact she was pregnant and it was wearing her down.

Drix had completely opposed all the work she was doing, but she'd been able to convince him that it'd all be over in three weeks.

At least, he'd been there for her during all the stressful times, even though work was also stressful for him.

He'd always massage her body every night, since she felt pains almost everyday which was expected as her stomach had grown really big already.

He also ensured she didn't miss any of her meals as it felt like she was always in the office.

She'd officially begun living with him, and so some of her maids had moved in with her.

Which made things easier as neither had to bother about what to eat.

Although, the house suddenly felt different with the presence of maids. At least the places were more orderly.

“Yes sir, I can assure you, you won't regret doing business with us.” Sarah said from where she sat on the couch with the business phone on her hand and some files on her laps.

Sarah had also been equally overworked, just as many other staffs and she just hoped their efforts wouldn't end up in vain.

“I hope to hear from you again sir.” She was silent, probably listening to the person at the other side of the line. “Bye then.”

Then she hung up and stared at Reil with a tired, but excited smile.

“I take that as positive news.” Reil said, happy that the work was going to be relieved soon, or maybe it'd just be the beginning.

“The Hé píng Real Estate Company in China is willing to do business with us.” Sarah beamed as she said each word.

Reil smiled. “Yes, now we just need to hope we'll get the company and succeed.”

“I know we will.” Her tone was confident, Reil had to smile.

“Tomorrow's the day.” And she was ready than anything.

Ready to take over the company from Bale.

They checked if they had everything ready, then decided it was time to go home.

Reil packed all her stuff, then left the office.

She sauntered to the elevator, pressing the button.

The elevator dinged and the doors separated, closing when she walked in.

She pressed the button to the first floor, and after a while, the elevator dinged and the doors separated.

She got out of it, and strutted out of the company, returning the greeting offered by her receptionist, Mailey.

When she headed to her car, she was surprised when she sighted Drix leaning against his car that was in front of hers.

A smile immediately appeared on her lips at his sight. “Oh my gosh, Drix, what on earth are you doing here?”

He stood up straight and smiled at her. “I thought it'll be nice to come pick you up.”

She pulled him to a hug as soon as she'd reached him. “Did you wait for me? Why didn't you come in?”

“I just arrived.” He planted a peck on her head. “And I didn't want to bother you while you're at the busiest times of your job.”

She'd never felt so happy to see him. “Thank you so much for coming.”

“Anything for you sweetheart.” He opened the back seat of the car for her and she entered, while he took the seat beside her, then closed the door.

The driver started the car, and they were already on the road.

“How was work today?” He asked as soon as she leaned her head on the car window and closed her eyes.

“Stressful.” She admitted, “but I hope it'll all be worth it.”

“You worked so hard,” he took her hand in his, “I'm sure it'll all be worth it.”

She felt movements in her stomach, and opened her eyes to stare at it. “Shit.”

“What's wrong?” He asked in concern, sitting up straight, and leaning closer to wrap his arm around her back.

She let out a chortle, then stared up at him. “I think our baby kicked.”

“Really?” He sounded as excited as she felt as he gently placed a finger on her stomach.

But the baby wasn't kicking anymore.

“Uh, I think my treasure is tired.” He said in his baby talk voice.

She chuckled. “Maybe he didn't kick and I was just imagining.”

She was really stressed and it was possible that it was wearing her out to begin imagining stuff.

He looked disappointed. “Maybe,” then shrugged, “I think it's still too early for a baby to kick.”

She huffed. “What do you know about baby kicking or not?” she teased, “what do you even know about babies.”

He smirked at her. “Oh I do know a lot about babies.” He leaned in to whisper for her earring only, “like how they're formed and the process a couple would pass through to do that.”

She giggled as his breath on her ear tickled her. “Oh Drix,”

“Why don't we pass through the process tonight?” He kissed her ear then pulled away.

A flush appeared on her cheeks as she stared out.

“Just kidding.” He gave her a knowing look, “I'm sure you're tired my love.”

She rolled her eyes at his ancient lover's accent.

They hadn't had sex for three weeks since she'd been tired most of the days she'd come back from work.

She always felt bad for him, but he had never gotten annoyed or asked for it.

He understood that she was actually really busy and always tired whenever she came back from work, which was one of the reasons she loved him.

She didn't know how she'd ended up with someone as great as him, but she was thankful she got him.
