The day had finally arrived and Reil had never felt happier.
She was going to take over the next company from Bale (hopefully), so she'd ensured to dress her best.
She wore a very expensive dark blue v-neck gown that showed off her big belly.
She'd worn a black heel, an expensive diamond necklace and earrings, with a gold watch.
Her hair, which was no longer dyed, had been brushed to fall on neat waves over her shoulders.
She'd done her make-up to complete the rich style look then left.
Drix had driven her and given her a good luck kiss, before heading to work himself.
Sarah had arrived early and they both just checked if there was anything they'd missed out on, which they hadn't.
Then, they both headed to the board meeting.
She'd arrived five minutes earlier to do a double cross check and ensure she wasn't missing on anything.
While she was sitting alone on one of the empty chairs, the door opened and Bale strutted in.
If he was surprised to see her arrive early, he didn't let it show as he just went to the seat opposite her.
"Why are you early?" He asked in an indifferent tone.
She offered him a smirk she was sure would piss him off. "Are you that happy to see me?"
Before he could reply, the door swung open and the both of them rose to their feet as Sean strutted in with the rest of the members of the board meeting.
Sean took his seat at the head of the table and everyone sat down after.
"You two are early." He commented in his professional tone and straight face, "now let's begin the meeting."
"In the last meeting," Mr Grub began, "we discussed the profits gained during the last year, and realized that there was only a five percent increase in profit which we thrive to multiply this year."
He did a brief last minute of their last meeting.
Bale began flipping the files in front of him. "Putting in consideration that the Elrey company are thriving for profit multiplication, I have decided on the idea to apprise the VIP customers of the hotel group on the real estate group.
"Also, proposals have been coming in on the ancient wine that the hotel group possesses. If it can be sold and things go as planned, there'll be an increase in the profit."
"And how much increase are we talking about?" Sean asked, seeming interested.
Bale raised his head to stare at him. "About a hundred million dollars profit."
Murmurs of agreement flowed around the room and she had to raise an eyebrow at him.
He came prepared. Hmm.
Sean nodded, then turned to her. "Is there anything you have to say?"
"Yes," she'd have stood up if she wasn't in a very comfortable position, "I disagree with his analysis."
Bale glared at her while Sean raised an eyebrow.
"And why do you disagree?"
"From what he is talking about, we are trading the sales of the Hotel Group for that of the Real Estate Group," she began, "because customers coming from abroad countries are to lodge at our hotel, and they're given the knowledge on the real estate, there'll be lesser customers to the Hotel Group as they'd mostly be coming from abroad to live in the place they got."
People nodded their agreements. "And as for the sale of the ancient wine," she stared at Sean, "the wine could possess more value in the future, and I think it's advisable to keep it than let another company have something that valuable."
Sean nodded. "Okay, but this is a hundred million we're talking about. If you've got anything, it's got to top that amount."
She cleared her throat, then flipped the files in front of her. "How about a billion dollars?"
Now the surprised murmurs filled the place.
"A billion dollars?"
"Yes," she raised her head to stare at Sean whose interest seemed prickled.
"And how do you plan on gaining such a huge amount?" He asked in awe.
She shifted her gaze to Bale who was practically giving her a death glare as she was sure he was aware of what she was going to say next.
"I need your permission to take over the Real Estate Group." She said in as professional a tone as she could offer.
Bale turned to Sean, and she did the same too.
Their dad had an uncertain expression. "What do you mean? What would you use it for?"
She turned to the files in front of her. "During the past weeks, I contacted a real estate company in Canada," she began, "they have offered to purchase some of the houses for sale in exchange of the production company offering some products produced to them which could help in their stocks."
"So, we're practically selling the houses to them for them to use our products to improve it and sell it at a higher price?" Bale asked through clenched teeth.
"No," she stared at him, and resisted the urge to smirk at his fury, "after they turn the buildings into new and more improved, the sales of it would be attached to both the Elrey and their company.
"So we're doing business with them and both will gain." She cleared her throat, then continued, "I also contacted the Hé píng Real Estate Company in China, and they've offered to do business with us."
"How?" A man she knew as Mr Hades, asked.
She turned to him. "The Hé píng Company is one of the biggest companies in China," she turned back to the files, "but they are not fully advanced in one thing, which is a quality production group."
"So we're going to join hands with them." Sean completed it for her, sounding really interested in it.
"Yes, and in exchange, our Real Estate Group would be advanced to China." She flipped the last page of the file. "And I didn't finish it there."
"Really?" He let out a I'm-proud-of-you chortle.
"I contacted some more international companies with similar proposals, and after all this," she closed the file, "the estimate we'd gain is one billion dollars."
She leaned back against the chair to study Bale's expression.
He looked like he wanted to choke her at the moment.
"So Mr Sincol," she turned to her dad, "would you grant to me the Real Estate Group?"
Sean sighed, then stared from Bale to her. "Yes, just make sure you take our company places."
Bale didn't say anything, but just rose to his feet and stomped out of the place, with everyone just staring at him leave.
A smirk crept up on her lips and Sean sighted it but didn't comment on that.
"End of meeting." He rose to his feet and everyone followed suit, "Reil, I'll like to see you in my office," then he left and the rest followed him except her.
She sat back on the chair, satisfied with herself.
She'd done it. She'd finally let Name know she wasn't the worthless bitch he thought of her.
She had never felt so satisfied and exultant.
