Chapter One Hundred and One

“Wow, I can't believe we were able to pull it off.” Reil said to Sarah as the car came to a halt.

“Right?” Sarah got out of the car and Reil followed. “I mean, a billion dollars? How the heck did you think of that much?”

“I guess I'm having business sense already, huh?” She winked at Sarah who chuckled, as they both headed towards the house.

“But how did Bale take it? He must've been furious.”

“Yep, he even shouted at my dad.”

“That much?” She sounded as surprised as Reil had felt when she heard their bickering.

“Hmm.” She pressed the doorbell when they'd reached it, and both stood waiting for the door to be opened.

The door swung open and a surprised Lenny stared at them.

“Oh my,” she stared from Sarah to Reil, then Reil's stomach, “you two didn't tell me you're coming and oh my oh, your baby's coming soon.”

She giggled as she rubbed her belly and Lenny's gaze was directed to their faces again.

“Wow.” She threw Sarah in a tight hug and came back to give Reil a light hug because of the pregnancy. “Come in, come in.”

The three of them walked in to see Greg walking out of a room with Angle in his hand.

She hadn't seen him since she cussed at him on the phone for taking photos of when he'd kissed her.

He stopped walking to stare at her and she did the same too.

Okay, she'd never felt so awkward before, especially as she recalled all the things she'd done with him.

But Sarah had told her he'd changed and probably liked Lenny or something.

He cleared his throat awkwardly. “Hey guys,” then he turned to Lenny, “I'm just taking this little champ out.” He tickled Angle who giggled, then turned back to Lenny. “Want me to get something on my way back?”

“Uh, no.”

“Okay.” He winked at her then walked past her.

Reil noticed the color rising to Lenny's cheeks from the wink and she couldn't help but smile.

Sarah had the knowing smile on also and when Lenny sighted it, she blushed even more and tried to cover it with her hair.

“Why don't you two take a seat and I'll go make some tea for us and we'll top it up with some cookies I made this morning.” She said shyly, as she scurried into the kitchen.

Reil stared at Sarah with the smile which Sarah returned and they both chuckled before taking a seat opposite each other.

Soon Lenny came back with their tea, giving each one a cup as she took one of her own and dropped a bowl filled with cookies on the table.

“I'm still surprised to see you two here.” She chuckled, taking a sip of her tea.

“Why won't we come? You are my best friend, right?” Sarah took a cookie, eating it.

“And you helped me out a lot.” Reil added. “Now, would you mind telling me what's going on between you and Greg?” She asked in a teasing tone and watched as the color rose to Lenny's cheeks again.

“Yeah, like when did it start?” Sarah also had a teasing tone as she took another cookie.

Lenny took a sip of her tea, obviously trying to cover her cheeks with her hair.

“I don't know, I just think he likes me and—” she took another sip of her tea.

“And?” Reil raised her brows and dropped them teasingly as she took a cookie and ate it.

“Well, I guess I like him too. Can we please change the topic?” Her entire cheeks had turned pink already.

“Oh come on, it's not a crime to be in love.” Reil continued with the teasing tone.

“Can we please change the topic to Sarah and Bill dating?” She looked like she was going to turn pink entirely anytime soon.

Reil gasped and her gaze shifted to Sarah. “You're dating Bill? What? When? How?”

Lenny looked relieved while Sarah looked like she was now the one about to enter the couch.

“Well, it just kinda happened.” She chuckled blushingly.

“Kinda?” Reil's smile went from ear to ear. “How did it happen? And how come I'm just finding out?”

“Yeah Sarah, you still haven't told me everything about the kiss.” Lenny said teasingly.

“Oh my, the kiss?” Reil chuckled, taking a sip of her tea and a cookie. “I need the details on that.”

“Geez Reil, why would you want a detail on my kiss?” Sarah took a sip of her tea.

“Oh come on, you shy?” Lenny teased.

“Please let's change the topic.” She took another sip of her tea and Reil was sure the cup was already empty.

“Please just tell us about the kiss and we promise to leave you alone.” Reil took another bite of her cookie.

“Let's talk about Reil's baby.” Sarah immediately said. “When's the gender reveal?”

“Oh soon, you guys should come over to pick your shirts.” Reil had made different shirts for those attending the gender reveal.

Some shirts were pink for those going for the baby girl, while some were blue for those going for the baby boy.

“What shirt are you picking Sarah?” Lenny asked.

“I'm going for the blue.” She said, “I want you guys to have a male child.”

Lenny shrugged. “Hmm, I'll go with the pink. How about you soon-to-be mom?”

“Well, I'll love any genders, but you know it's tradition to pick a shirt so I'll go with the pink.” She said.

They chatted some more on the baby and if baby names had been picked and many more things.
