Ember watched the screen as Alex stared down at his hands. More precisely, he was staring at his nails. He couldn't believe he had to wear those long things again. The last time, he'd worn them as part of a vampire costume and hadn't been able to pick anything up. They were more of a burden than anything else. Now, he had to deal with them once more.

"We'll be fine," Ember said, trying to comfort him. "You can just keep your hands in your pockets most of the time."

Her words worked, and Alex looked up with a small smile. "You're right. And hey, tomorrow's Sunday—we can do something fun again."

"Exactly! Plus, you don't have to wear that girly hairstyle anymore," Ember added, grinning.

The mood lightened, and they headed to Alex's room. Sitting on the bed, Ember looked at him, curious. "What would you like to do tomorrow?"

"Well, besides movies and picnics, what else do you like to do?" he asked.

"I like shopping, among other things," she replied with a smile.

"We could go shopping again, or maybe something else," Alex suggested.

They fell into a comfortable silence, both thinking. Finally, Ember spoke. "Let's sleep on it and decide tomorrow."

They kissed goodnight, and Ember left the room.

The next morning, Alex woke up to Ember gently shaking him. "Good morning, sleepyhead," she whispered as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Morning, Ember," he mumbled, stretching. It took him a bit to fully wake up, but eventually, they sat down for breakfast.

"So, did you come up with anything fun to do?" Ember asked between bites.

"Not really... What about you?" he replied.

"Same. I think it's because we're kind of limited with what we can do here, and we don't know much about the outside."

"Yeah, that definitely makes it harder," Alex agreed.

They tossed around a few ideas before Ember suddenly remembered something. "Oh! Alex, I almost forgot... I have to take you to the beauty salon today."

Alex sighed, his shoulders slumping. "Oh right... my nails."

"I'm sorry, but I can't get you out of this punishment," she said nervously smiling

"Yeah, sadly not," he muttered, feeling the weight of it again.

They walked through several doors until they reached the salon. "I'm coming!" a voice called out from behind a curtain as they entered. Alex looked around. The place was surprisingly professional-looking, with a modern interior. Luxurious chairs sat in front of large mirrors surrounded by lights, and tables were filled with all kinds of beauty products. Shelves lined the walls, displaying countless bottles of nail polish in every color imaginable.

After a few moments, a girl stepped out from behind the curtain. "You must be Alex," she said with a friendly smile. "Are you ready to get your nails done?"

At least she hadn't called him anything girly, Alex thought, relieved. He introduced himself politely. "Yeah, I'm Alex. I'm not exactly ready, but I don't think I'll ever be."

The girl chuckled. "Don't worry, I'll make them as pretty as possible."

That's what worried Alex the most—how girly they'd look.

"Go ahead and have a seat," she said, motioning to a chair. As he sat down, she introduced herself. "By the way, I'm Jade."

"Nice to meet you, Jade," Alex replied, and for the second time ever in these weeks of Sissy games, he meant it. Jade seemed different from the others, like Stacey or Amy, who always took pleasure in his punishments.
