Professor Umbridge looked to also be in a very sour mood. Céline could see Hermione whispering something of Harry, likely trying to convince him out of whatever plan he had to speak with Sirius. She couldn't help but feel nervous for him. But she knew that if it's Fred and George who will be doing the diversion that it should be fine.
The bell rang and everyone began grabbing their bags and heading out towards the door.
"Finally, I'm starving." Daphne whispered. "Let's go eat?" She asked Céline as they walked out the door.
Céline stopped just outside the classroom. "I'll catch up to you in the Great Hall, I just need to talk to Harry and the others really quick."
Daphne and Tracey looked at each other before looking back to her. "Cél, Malfoy told us to try to keep you with us as much as possible. I think he's worried you'll get in trouble sticking with Potter—"
"I know, and I understand where he's coming from, but it's just for a little bit, I'll be down for dinner in a little while." Céline said, "besides I've already spoken to him about it. He knows he can't stop me from hanging out with them. Go. I'll be fine."
They hesitate, but give in and began walking away, just as Harry, Ron and Hermione walk out of the class. Harry looked at her.
"Harry- please." Hermione whispered anxiously as all four of them walk down the corridor.
"Give it a rest, will you?" Said Ron wearily, "is his choice."
Hermione looked at Céline for some support and Céline just shrugged, giving her an apologetic expression.
They were half way down the corridor when they heard a loud explosion and various screams and shouts from a distance. It must have been the start of the diversion. Students who were coming out of classrooms all stopped in their tracks, their heads turning upwards toward the upper floors, looking fearful.
Céline and the others heard the loud clacks of heels behind them, as they turned Professor Umbridge was hurriedly making her way out of her classroom down the opposite end of corridor towards the diversion. Céline looked at Harry.
"Be careful. Go, quickly." Céline said. He nodded and left without a word said, trying to shove past all the students who were now hurrying in the opposite direction to see what the fuss was about.
Céline, Hermione and Ron quickly followed the crowed to the upper floor and saw in the middle of Gregory the Swarmy's corridor was an enormous swamp that had magically been conjured. Céline's mouth fell open in surprise as she saw some student trying their best to get out of the muddy waters. Her eyes looked everywhere until they finally landed on the two identical redheads on the other side of the swamp, smirking at Umbridge who was on the opposite side of them, unable to get through.
There was a large crowd of students that gathered to see the mess, some of them trying to help out the ones who were stuck in it.
"Inquisitorial Squad! You are to catch those two IMMEDIATELY!" Umbridge shrieked. With that Fred and George took off running, laughing along the way.
"They are absolutely mad for doing this." Ron said watching in disbelief, but also a hint of amusement.
Umbridge stomped past them mumbling to herself how to get to them.
Eventually about twenty minutes after, Fred and George were cornered in the entrance hall, the large crowd watching them, even Peeves was floating above the sea of students and teachers, as they were surrounded by the Inquistorial Squad and in front of them, Umbridge standing on the staircase just a few steps above them. She looked down at the two triumphantly. Céline was in the front of the crowds near the left side of the base of the staircase with Hermione and Ron on one side and Daphne and Tracey on the other.
