The Heroes of the Horizon (55)

The fight has turned in the favor of the Saikai, now that the Heroes could not defeat Aikasuyuri before the barrier fell. Rigel is now dealing with Aikasuyuri and the remaining of Horizon, who were all focused on beating him in battle. Saikai plans to capture Rigel while he stops The Heroes and Roz Asteri from getting through him. He had now put himself in between both of them. 

Saikai then looked at Dartz from his ship as he pointed at her. "Well, how is Heroes of Horizon? It seems you guys were unable to defeat her. So Dartz, if you are willing to give up now, I will not hurt your friend here."

Roz Asteri who was still in Tiger's arms yelled out at Dartz even before Dartz was able to respond to him. "Don't trust him! Even if he were to do as he promised he wouldn't hurt him, he would subvert your trust and his words to you." She got back on her feet. "You need to go to Rigel now! He won't be able to handle it all." Even though she was recently injured she seem to doing fine at responding.

Saikai then cut back into the conversation. "Well, it is your choice! Before Aikasuyuri here kills your friend here." Then the gun on the battleship slowly rotates towards the Heroes.

Dartz felt the need to deny Saikai's proposal but then suddenly saw in the distance Rigel was thrown far by Aikasuyuri attacks including attacks from the other Horizon people. Dartz was still suffering from the attack earlier by Saikai as she still feeling the lingering pain. Rigel was in his powered state like he was in Clover District. He was barely holding onto the fight, he was on the back feet of the fight. Dartz's eyes could not leave the sight of Rigel fighting, as she stared in watched as her thoughts began to run through her head. Then suddenly a rush of water splashed against her against the rising tide. 

Shaman quickly bolted ahead of Dartz with the ship rig with all her might. She didn't care whether what Dartz had chosen or not. She needed to go save the person she now loved. If Dartz will hesitate then she won't hesitate to save him. Shaman didn't care how she might be hurt or die or lose her memories, she knew that if Rigel were to die today she would lose him forever.

Dartz felt a gentle push from behind; it was all needed to move her feet. She suddenly pushed maxed on her ship rig despite her pain and the thoughts she had. She quickly tries to follow Shaman. She didn't even look back at whoever pushed her to go, she needed to go save her friend now.

Saikai sighed at what they were going to do. He was about to shoot them when shots were hitting the cannon guns on the ship causing it to slow down at the aiming and destroying parts of the cannon. He now had to wait for it to repair itself then he glared back down at the Heroes who were not with Shaman and Dartz. 

Consta was always on the initiative on the attack. "Forgetting about us aren't we!" she points at Saikai and is the one who shoots the cannon on the battleship before it even gets a chance to react. "Don't think for one second that you will get them! You're sticking with us you, Non-essential Patronizing Cutthroat !" That degrading set of words towards Saikai surprisingly angers Saikai.

Deyla was taken aback by Consta's words but realized what those sets of words were supposed to mean. "Ah, I get it now." Like a lightbulb appearing over her head.

Roz Asteri was the one who gently pushed Dartz's back to make the right decision. She felt that Dartz and Shaman would be able to help Rigel while she tried to halt the progress of Saikai here. 

Tiger pats the back of Roz Asteri. "Shall we stop Saikai here?" Then proceed to give a small nudge as well. "Well don't wait there while Saikai is slowly recovering." Then she pressed forward on her attack and began attacking the battleship. 

Deyla and Consta quickly follow suit as well attacking the nearby Angelic being which was assigned to helping out Saikai. The Heroes and Roz Asteri try to spread themselves around the battleship where it would have no chance to fight them but Saikai is smart enough to see what they're trying to do so he pulls his battleship farther out into the sea trying to prevent the encirclement of the battleship. This reaction to the Heroes and Roz Asteri causes them to try to catch up with the massive battleship as they watch it easily ride the tidal waves of the sea with such ease while causing waves behind the ship itself. Suddenly the Battleship drifted on the sea like a car drifting around a curve causing the side of the battleship to be seen which allowed all the cannons on the ship to have a line of sight. It fires a barrage at the Heroes and Roz Asteri. Roz Asteri quickly dodges through the shots that were fired at them, she sees the Anti-Air weapons on the ship that were used to fire at them turning this into a bullet hell of itself. Tiger suddenly jumped over the cannon shots that flew past under her, as she landed back on top of the water. The Angelic beings of the Horizon around the battleship suddenly attacked them as they were the ones firing lasers like in their early fight with Sorano back in the Subjugation making Deyla move out of the side. Then Consta was firing her barrages of bullets at the Angelic beings to knock them out of the way so they wouldn't interfere with them. Saikai continued to fire as many barrages of attacks at them before realigning his battleship in a straight way to prepare for the next attack while trying to maintain distance from the heroes and the one outsider with them. They all continue to exchange fire between them. Still, it seems the Heroes are doing supremely well due to their training from the Clover District as it seems their reactions and awareness have significantly improved overall. Each time Saikai attacked them the Battleship slowed down ever so slightly due to the ship's turn to ensure proper firing. However, Saikai fully turned the battleship sideway to fire a barrage of constant volley of shells and minor bullets from the ship. This gave the opportunity to the Heroes of the Horizon and Roz Asteri to close the distance between them and Saikai. The Battleship gave it all to attack since when Saikai had placed his battleship completely sideway to have all his cannons and AA weapons facing them, he could get it completely focused on firing them. The Angelic beings of the Horizon are shooting lasers at the Heroes but it seems Roz Asteri managed to avoid their target. Roz Asteri blasted full ahead of all the Heroes and she began to manifest a giant cannon back in the Subjugation of Teresa.  She kept pushing forward harder, then suddenly slammed on the break on her ship rig. Then she got on her knees on top of the water. Then the oversized cannon was being held by her small frame and ship rig. Rapdily a huge intake of energy and the cannon began to shine in a pink glow. All Angelic Beings of the Horizon around Saikai flew directly towards Roz Asteri. Then as a response to Angelic Beings trying to stop the cannon from being fired Deyla and Consta surf straight past Roz Asteri and begin firing at all the Angelic Beings which slows them down.  The Battleship fired its a volley of shells toward Roz Asteri to smash her with the explosion, then out of the blew it exploded in the air. Smoke from the explosion suddenly dissipated from the area showing Tiger had gotten in between a volley of shells and Roz Asteri. Tiger had used the Ship rig she was given to destroy the incoming volley. Saikai spotted that Tiger had single handle the first volley of order a relentless volley of attack directly at Roz Asteri now to stop the proceeding attack that will soon come if it isn't stopped. As each volley from the cannon fired at Roz Asteri, it was getting shot out by Tiger with such precision that hadn't been seen before. The AA on the battleship was ordered to fire at Deyla and Consta who were taking the attention of Angelic Beings before Deyla suddenly kicked a single round of the AA 40 mm round redirecting towards one of Angelic Beings. It was only possible because the ship rig had attached armor that extended towards the feet to enable them to surf on the water's surface. Consta saw that Deyla had purposely redirected the use of AA bullets at flying Angelic Beings of the Horizon, Consta despite not having the skill to kick it, she used her brain and her armor side plating on her Ship rig to deflect a few rounds directly at Angelic Beings.
