Chapter 50. "bad idea"
Where at chapter 50???? WHAT? 👀🍂
Reds pov
I made my way through the big hallway of Auradon prep college, on my way to first class. It was Friday, and I was really tired already, only being in school again for a week.
I sat down in the front row, actually thinking it would make me concentrate better. I missed Chloe, even if I left her like 5 minutes ago.
This year we didn't have as much classes together as we did last year, sadly. Not even me and Zack had that much classes together either.
I pulled up my pen and paper, ready for the class to start. Suddenly someone comes up behind me.
- Oh hi Red, are you in this class too? Gabriella asked.
Her long light brown hair was curled, she wore baggy jeans with a white crop top, showing off her abs. She held on to her shiny new school computer and the books needed for this class. She looked at me with a bright smile, waiting for my answer to her not necessary question.- Uhm, yeah? I answered.
It's not like I would sit in this class just for fun. Of course I took it too!
- Fun! Can I join you? Or do you want to sit by yourself? She asked and her disgustingly white teeth almost blinded me as she smiled again.
- Uhm, sure, I said as I moved some of my stuff so she could sit down beside me.
I didn't want to seem rude and just wave her off, she hadn't done anything wrong, yet.
- Sooo, about the other day, after the principals talk... I'm sorry if I just jumped on to you like that, saying you were my crush and stuff, Gabriella started, as she unpacked her things.
- Oh- Well, it's fine, I was the one literally jumping on to you, I said with a little giggle, remembering how I tripped on to her.
- Yeah, you literally stumbled into me! She giggled back, as she looked at me with her green eyes.
We looked at each other for a second, I took a good look at her annoyingly perfect face. But my thoughts wandered back to Chloe.
- Well I'm happy to be your crush, but I have a girlfriend that I love very much! I say, in a nice tone, to make her feel good.
- Yeah. I know, it's fine! Just because I think you're cool and pretty doesn't mean we can't be friends does it? She asks, again with the eyes.
- Well I guess not, I say back and try to look away. I really tried to find something that could make me not like her, but she was like perfect? She was not like Anastasia or anyone, she was actually nice and compassionate.
- Well, Red, I must say you're much nicer than I thought! I literally thought you were a bitch, at least that's what I heard! She giggles again, writing something on her paper.
- What you heard? From who? I ask with a playful smile.
- Ehh, you know, you just hear things I guess, she says unbothered, still writing something on her paper.
- Well, I guess they're not wrong. I used to be a bitch, then I met Chloe and a lot changed, I sighed and my stomach almost turned from missing Chloe again.
Gabriella looked up from her paper, still smiling.
- She must be perfect, she sounds perfect!I smiled,
- She really is, I love her to death!Gabriella hummed and nodded a little, before turning back to her paper.
- Well you know you could call be Gabby, now since where friends right?- Oh uhm, okay, I guess I could do that, I awkwardly answered before I started drawing small hearts in my notebook, waiting for the professor to actually be able to connect his computer to the screen. He had been struggling for at least ten minutes now, still not able to start the lesson.
Gabby looked up from her paper again, turning to look at the professor and she laughed a little.
- Uhm, are we supposed to help him? She giggled, turning to me.- I don't know a shit about that stuff, I giggled back.
- Don't act like you're 20 years older than me, you're literally just two years older! She laughs, rolling her eyes.
- Two years a lot, you're just a baby! I giggle back, motioning for her to go help him.
She rolled her eyes again, jumping out of her seat to go help the professor. He seemed kind of lost, he was new too.
I sat back in my seat, laughing a little to myself when Gabby tried to explain for him how it worked, he was actually kind of old, trying to put the connector in all different wrong ways.
Gabby successfully connected it, and he hugged her as a thanks. She awkwardly looked at me through the hug, bursting into laughter, me too.
Soon she came walking back.
- That was the weirdest thing, she said sitting back on her seat.I giggled again,
- Yeah, the hug? What the hell?Gabby giggled a little before turning to look at me, a little bit more serious.
- So like, I haven't made a lot of friends here yet, you care to show me around when you got time? If it's okay for your girlfriend of course I-I interrupted her before she could finish,
- Gabby it's cool, Chloe's gonna be totally fine with it! I'd love to show you around! I smiled.- Well thanks then, means a lot! She smiled.
- You two in the front! I'm talking! The professor shouted at me and Gabby, making us laugh even more but actually taking our time to listen afterwards.
Chloe wouldn't mind that I became friends with Gabby right? This was the first time I actually became good friends with a female, except Chloe obviously, but she was my girlfriend. She didn't count.
It felt good, actually being nice, feeling like I could make friends. It felt like I really evolved as a person.
I thought about how much Zack would have loved Gabby, he would have befriended her in a heartbeat.
Maybe getting to know her wasn't such a bad idea, right?
