OCTAVIA AND IVY WERE CROUCHING BEHIND A LOG. They were spying on Pike's crew on the outside, trying to figure out what the man was planning. Clarke had left them to head back to Polis and speak to Lexa about everything. Kane was talking to them through their earpieces so that they explain the picture. "Pike's detail is still at it. Soil and water samples."

"Any idea what they're up to?" the man questioned. They were watching Hannah, Gillmer, and another Farm Station Guard digging through the dirt at the riverbed, which was getting really suspicious. Despite the fact that they were farmers, there was not a lot of dirt up on the Ark, but they still acted like they knew what they were doing.

"No, but considering how heavily they're armed, I don't think they want anyone to find out," the Bishop girl responded. She lifted her head above the log slightly to check on everything, and her eyes widened when she saw a child standing on the other side of the creek. "Oh, crap."

Kane voice grew worried. "What is it?"

"There's a Grounder kid. Hang on," Octavia answered him. They kept eyes on the kid at all times at that point instead of just sneaking glances. They were scared that he would be dead as soon as they looked away.

By that point, the Farm Station guards had noticed the kid, and he looked terrified. Hannah smiled kindly at him, but behind her eyes was something evil. She was pretty sure that they were not about the kill a child. "Hello there. Don't be scared."

"We can't let him go. He'll tell his people he saw us," Gillmer pointed out, and the Bishop girl took back everything that she thought before. Now, she just could not believe that they were about to kill this random child for being near a stream.

The kid's eyes widened when he realized what was about to happen, and he turned and sprinted the opposite direction. Hannah finally nodded in the direction of her friends, and they all whipped out their guns and began running. "Fan out, with me."

"They're going after the kid. We're trying to cut them off," the Blake girl explained to Kane as she and Ivy took off after the Farm Station people. There was no way that the Bishop girl was going to let them kill a Grounder kid just because he saw them. Were they actually trying to start a war with the Grounders? That was a war they had no chance of winning.
