HUNDREDS OF EYES WERE ON BELLAMY AND IVY WHEN THE VENT POPPED OUT. They crawled out and into the room with all of the cages. The first one they went to was the Grounder girl that they had been talking to when they were trapped in there, Echo. Bellamy rushed to unlock the cage. "Get up. It's time to go. I told you we'd come back for you. Come on out. Our people are marching on Mount Weather right now." Bellamy moved to the next one while Ivy stood watch at the door, but when he tried to get the next boy out, the kid smacked him. "Hey. It's okay. We're getting you out."
"Slow down. They just bled him," Echo told him, and she turned to speak to the boy in grounder language. He slowly climbed out, looking scared as he glanced around the room at the unknown people in the uniforms that he had most likely grown to hate.
"Listen to me. There's an army inside this room, and I need you to help me get them ready to fight. Can you do that?" the Blake man questioned, and the woman nodded after a moment, although she seemed a bit unsure about it, which was making Ivy nervous. "Good. Start with him."
There was so much yelling in the room because of what was happening, and the Bishop girl had to shout over to her friend so that he could try to get them to shut up. "Too much noise, Bell!" Echo walked over and shrieked something to all of them that made them fall silent. Ivy nodded gratefully before explaining to her, "There's an army outside going for the main door. When they get it open, all hell will break loose. That is the signal for our friends to come here, and then—"
"My fellow citizens, this is your president speaking. I have news to share with you that will change all of our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home. It's kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done these things for one reason... so that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today. Before my friend Lorelei Tsing was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this mountain, she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow," Cage said over the intercoms.
Bellamy then tossed the woman next to him the keys before walking back over to the vent and gesturing for the redheaded girl to follow him. "Here. We'll be back. Ivy, come on."
