THEY HAD BEEN STUCK THERE ALL FREAKING NIGHT. They just sat there and peeked out of the windows, waiting for something to happen. The sun was rising, and they were really getting tired of waiting. Their guns were ready to shoot at the first sign of movement, but there wasn't any. Bellamy sighed, "It's been three hours. What are they waiting for?"

"I say we make a run for it," Monty suggested, and Ivy agreed with him. They could wait there like sitting ducks all day and wait until they were either ambushed or starved to death. She was sure the people waiting for them had supplies and would be set for a while. All they had was a couple of bottle of water.

Kane shook his head. "No. That's what they want us to do."

"The boy is right. They can wait longer than we can," Indra countered. Their best chance was to try and run or at least get out there and fight. It was a whole lot better than hanging out there in the Rover forever. Ivy was exhausted too since they had been awake for almost a whole day.

Kane nodded back at her, trusting her judgement and coming up with a plan. He turned to the two best gunmen there and handed them their guns. "Okay, Bellamy, Ivy. You two get in the turret and you cover us. Once we get to that ridge over there, we'll cover you."

"Copy that. Run fast," Bellamy told him. He and Ivy glanced at each other before standing up and sticking their upper halves out of the turret.

Almost immediately, a knife was pressed to the Bishop girl's neck. She looked over to see Bellamy in a very similar situation, a masked figure behind him. They both raised their arms in the air in surrender, and the redheaded girl called down to the others, "I think they're here."

"You think?" Bellamy asked sarcastically.

The figures grabbed both of them and hauled them down to the ground. Another masked person opened the door to the Rover, allowing the two in compromising positions to be seen by the others. "Everybody out or the boy dies."

"Hey, hey, hey. Okay! Okay! We're coming out. Don't hurt him," Kane assured the people, and he help his hands above his head as Indra and Monty climbed out behind him while doing the same. They were immediately pinned to the ground, and Ivy grunted has the woman holding her kicked her in the chest so that she fell.
