JOSEPHINE WAS NOT AN EASY PERSON TO DRAG THROUGH THE WOODS. She kept squirming, and even with both Bellamy and Ivy, she was almost winning the fight. She had been complaining the entire time as well, and it was well into the night at that points.
"Don't you get it, you're killing all four of us. Not to mention the rest of your friends when my Father finds out. Is Clarke really worth all of that?" she asked with raised eyebrows. All of a sudden, she gasped, falling to the ground. She began convulsing, Bellamy moved to check on her and pull her up while Ivy kept hold of the chains. There was blood on her hose, and she wiped it off with a scowl. " It's getting worse. You have to take me home."
Ivy scoffed and shook her head. "So you can use an EMP and kill Clarke? Not happening."
"The Children of Gabriel won't help you. When they find out who I am, they won't just destroy my Mind Drive, they'll cut off my head, and you'll have nothing," she told them as they resumed the dragging. "Look, I don't know what they taught you on that hunk of metal you grew up in, but where I'm from when someone tells you you're in danger, you listen."
"Yeah, we do that, too, unless the people we care about are in trouble, then we do what has to be done. Now, come on. Let's go," Bellamy responded.
Finally, the woods in front of them illuminated and people stepped out, calling, "You're in our woods! A long way from home."
"We need to see Gabriel. He needs to know what we know," Ivy announced, knowing that these were the people they were looking for.
Josephine's head dropped in shame. "God, you're an idiot."
The Children of Gabriel refused to listen to them and just chained them to the wall of a cave while they sent for their leader, the man that Josephine was in love with and the one trying to kill her. It was a complicated relationship, to say the least.
"My father was a fool for letting you people stay. All that time spent building a sanctuary for the human race, and he destroys it because of the most human thing of all — love. I mean, who can blame him? I am awesome. It's just...well, and look at you. You should have known how this would end." She slicked her tongue. "Guess I'm just saying all this because I know so much about you now."
