THE LIST HAD BEEN FOUND, AND EVERYONE WAS EXTREMELY PISSED. It had almost started some fights until Jaha stepped in and tore it up. He said that anyone that wanted a spot in their bunker had to work for it. He had a good point because no one was going to set up a bunker that they knew they would not be welcome in. They could make a new list if they needed to, but for the moment, the people needed something to work for.
Bellamy had gone out on a hunting trip that was supposed to be back hours before, and they had not heard from him. Ivy was extremely worried, but, at that moment, she was focused on her best friend that was really mad at her. She was currently chasing him as he stormed down a hall. She called after him, "Enzo! Enzo, wait!"
"There was a list?" he scoffed, spinning around with a look of betrayal in his eyes. She wanted to point out that it was not her idea to make it, but she did not think that that would help matters. The fact that she knew about it was enough for him.
She sighed because she did not mean to hurt him by not stopping the creation of a list, but she did what she did because she knew that there was a chance to save him. If there was any possibility that she could ensure that he got out alive, she would make it happen. "And I made sure you were on it."
"For what, Ivy? I'm an awful soldier, I can't cook, and I'm just a medical apprentice. I have no value, and now, I'm taking up a spot that could be given to someone that can actually contribute," he shouted, and when she did not answer, he began yelling again. "What about my mom, Ivy? She deserves to be on the list a lot more than I do."
"There were only so many spots—" she started, but she knew that she would not get very far with her excuse.
She was right, and he cut her off a few seconds in. "You don't get to decide who lives or dies, Ivy. We should all have an equal shot. I get that you were trying to save me, but I don't need you to protect me all of the time. I'm not a kid that is just helpless on his own."
"That's not what—" she tried again, but it was no use. He had something to say, and he was going to say it. He did not care what her thought process was when she helped Clarke with the list. He was not even that mad about the list. He just wanted to make sure that she knew that he did not need her protection.
