The car ride back to the hotel was quiet, the tension between Taehyung and Y/N thickening with every passing minute. Y/N stared out the window, trying to make sense of everything that had happened during the interview. The weight of Taehyung's words echoed in their mind. It's not fake for me anymore.

As they arrived back at the hotel, the air between them still hung heavy with unspoken feelings. The moment they stepped into the lobby, Taehyung's phone buzzed again—this time more urgently. He frowned as he glanced at the screen.

"My manager," he muttered. "I need to handle this."

Y/N nodded, their chest tightening. "Go ahead. I'll be in my room."

As Taehyung stepped away to take the call, Y/N made their way upstairs. Once inside their hotel room, they flopped onto the bed, their mind swirling with conflicting emotions. The situation had started to feel out of control, and they weren't sure how much longer they could keep up the act—especially now that Taehyung had admitted his feelings.

Y/N grabbed their phone and scrolled through social media, only to find the internet buzzing about the interview. Fans were flooding the comments, dissecting every word, every glance, every moment between them and Taehyung. The kiss was trending again, but this time, it was alongside rumors about their relationship being real.

The pressure of it all weighed heavily on Y/N. The more the public believed in their relationship, the harder it became to separate the truth from the lies. And now that Taehyung had admitted his feelings, Y/N wasn't sure where they stood.

Just as they were about to put their phone down, there was a knock on the door. Y/N's heart skipped a beat. They knew who it was.

Taehyung stood in the doorway, his face serious but soft. "Can we talk?"

Y/N stepped aside, letting him in. "Sure."

Taehyung sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at his hands. For a moment, there was silence between them, both of them unsure how to start. Finally, Taehyung broke the tension.

"I know I said a lot earlier," he began, his voice low. "But I meant what I said. This isn't just an act for me anymore, Y/N."

Y/N's heart pounded. "But Taehyung, we agreed this was fake. If we let this get real, it's going to complicate everything."

Taehyung looked up, his eyes filled with a mix of frustration and vulnerability. "It's already complicated. Do you really think we can keep pretending like nothing's changed?"

Y/N didn't have an answer. The truth was, they had felt the shift too. Every glance, every touch, every moment between them had started to blur the lines between what was fake and what was real. But admitting it scared them.

"I don't know," Y/N whispered. "This wasn't supposed to happen."

Taehyung stood up, pacing the room. "I know it's not what we planned, but we can't control how we feel, can we?"

Y/N bit their lip, trying to sort through the mess of emotions inside them. "What if this ruins everything?"

Taehyung stopped pacing and turned to face Y/N, his expression intense. "What if it doesn't? What if this is exactly what we need to stop pretending?"

The vulnerability in his voice made Y/N's heart ache. For so long, they had been so focused on keeping up the charade that they hadn't considered what would happen if their feelings became real. Now that it was happening, Y/N didn't know what to do.

Before Y/N could respond, Taehyung took a step closer, his eyes searching theirs. "I'm not asking for an answer right now. But I need you to think about it. Because I'm not sure how much longer I can keep pretending when this feels so real."

Y/N stared at him, their heart racing. Taehyung was giving them an out, a chance to decide what they really wanted. But the weight of the decision felt too heavy.

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'll give you some space," he said quietly, heading for the door. "But just... don't take too long to decide, okay?"

Y/N nodded, their voice barely a whisper. "Okay."

As the door clicked shut behind him, Y/N sank back onto the bed, their mind racing. The truth was, they didn't know how they felt. But they knew one thing for sure: whatever decision they made, there was no going back.

And now, more than ever, they weren't sure which path to take.
