Taehyung and Y/N sat on the balcony of their apartment that evening, the city lights twinkling below them. For the first time in weeks, there was a semblance of peace. The press conference had gone better than expected, and the public was finally beginning to see the truth.

"I still can't believe you said that," Y/N teased, their cheeks warm as they recalled Taehyung's public confession of love.

Taehyung chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "I wasn't planning on it, but I couldn't hold back. I meant every word, you know."

Y/N smiled, their heart fluttering. "I know. And I'm glad you said it. It's about time we stopped hiding how we feel."

Their laughter faded into a comfortable silence, the weight of their journey finally settling. But just as Y/N began to relax, Taehyung's phone buzzed on the table.

He frowned, picking it up. "It's Minji again."

Answering the call, Taehyung's expression darkened almost immediately. "What? Are you sure?"

Y/N's stomach tightened as they watched his jaw clench. After a few moments, he hung up and turned to them.

"What happened?" Y/N asked, their voice trembling slightly.

"Jihoon's taken it one step further," Taehyung said, his tone grim. "He's bribed someone close to us—someone in my company—to leak fake financial documents. He's trying to make it look like I've been embezzling funds."

Y/N felt a cold chill run down their spine. "How does he still have this much reach after everything?"

Taehyung stood, pacing back and forth. "He's desperate, Y/N. The press conference hurt his reputation more than we realized, and now he's trying to drag us down with him."

"What do we do?" Y/N asked, standing to meet his gaze.

Taehyung paused, taking a deep breath. "We stay ahead of him. Minji's working on getting us proof of the bribes, but until then, we need to secure our side. I'll have the company's legal team review everything and prepare for damage control."

Y/N placed a hand on his arm. "We'll get through this, just like we always do."

He looked at them, his expression softening. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

As the night deepened, Taehyung and Y/N worked tirelessly to safeguard his reputation. The looming threat of Jihoon's next move hung over them, but this time, they were determined not to let him win.

But as they closed their laptops and prepared for bed, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something bigger was coming—something that would test their strength and love like never before.
