The days following Y/N's confession were filled with a quiet kind of bliss. Y/N and Taehyung had fallen into an easy rhythm, savoring the moments they shared. Taehyung's manager had reached out several times about the rumors swirling in the media, and although Taehyung had reassured Y/N that they would reveal their relationship on their terms, the pressure was undeniable. Every time his phone buzzed or a new article surfaced online, Y/N's anxiety grew.

One afternoon, while Taehyung was away for a meeting, Y/N found themselves alone in the hotel room. With nothing to distract them, they absentmindedly scrolled through social media, only to be bombarded with headlines about their "relationship."

"Is BTS's Taehyung secretly dating?"

"Mysterious woman spotted with Kim Taehyung again—who is she?"

"Inside sources claim the relationship is a PR stunt."

Y/N's heart sank as the articles continued to spread misinformation. The speculation was wild, and none of it came close to the truth. And the comments—the comments were filled with hate, judgment, and false accusations. People were questioning their intentions, calling Y/N a gold-digger, and claiming that they were only after fame.

It was overwhelming.

Just as Y/N was about to shut off their phone, it rang. The screen lit up with Taehyung's name, and a wave of relief washed over them. They answered quickly.

"Hey," Y/N said, trying to keep their voice steady.

"Hey," Taehyung replied softly. "I'm on my way back. Is everything okay?"

Y/N hesitated. Should they tell him about the articles? About how the hate was starting to get to them? But they didn't want to add to the stress Taehyung was already under.

"Yeah, everything's fine," Y/N lied. "Just... waiting for you to come back."

Taehyung paused on the other end of the line, as if he could sense something wasn't right. "Are you sure?"

Y/N took a deep breath. "Actually... no. I've been seeing the articles, and the comments... It's just a lot."

"I know," Taehyung sighed. "It's getting worse, and I hate that you're in the middle of it."

There was a moment of silence before Taehyung spoke again, his voice serious. "Maybe we should go public sooner than we planned."

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "Go public? You really think we should?"

"I don't know," Taehyung admitted. "But the longer we wait, the worse the rumors will get. If we control the narrative, maybe we can stop the hate from spreading."

Y/N bit their lip, unsure. Going public meant stepping into the spotlight in a way they hadn't fully prepared for. It meant giving up the small bubble of privacy they had, and while Y/N knew it was inevitable, the thought of it happening so soon made their stomach turn.

"But... what if it makes things worse?" Y/N asked, their voice quiet.

Taehyung's voice softened. "It could. But I'd rather face it together, openly, than let them tear us apart with lies."

Y/N knew he was right. The rumors wouldn't stop on their own. And as much as they wanted to keep their relationship private, the world was already digging its claws in.

"Okay," Y/N said finally, their voice barely above a whisper. "Let's do it."

When Taehyung returned to the hotel later that evening, there was a heaviness in the air. They were about to change everything, and there was no turning back. Together, they sat down to discuss how they wanted to reveal their relationship to the world.

"We can do it our way," Taehyung said. "We don't owe anyone an explanation, but we can set the record straight."

Y/N nodded, feeling a mix of fear and determination. They were scared, but they weren't alone. Taehyung had always been by their side, and now, they would face whatever came next together.
