Despite the chaos, Y/N stayed by Taehyung's side, offering quiet strength and unwavering support.

One evening, as they wrapped up another long day at the office, Y/N noticed Taehyung staring out the window, lost in thought. The weight of the situation was etched into his features, his usual confidence replaced by a quiet intensity.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Y/N asked gently, walking over to him.

Taehyung turned to them, his gaze softening. "I was just thinking about how far we've come—and how much we've been through. Sometimes, I wonder if this will ever end."

"It will," Y/N said firmly. "We'll make sure of it. Jihoon might think he's untouchable, but he's running out of moves."

Taehyung nodded, his lips curving into a faint smile. "You always know how to keep me grounded. I don't deserve you, Y/N."

Before they could respond, Taehyung's phone buzzed on the desk. He picked it up, his brow furrowing as he read the message.

"It's from Minji," he said, his voice tense. "She's found something big."

Within minutes, they were on a video call with Minji, who looked unusually serious.

"I've uncovered more than I expected," Minji began, her tone grave. "Jihoon isn't just targeting you for revenge, Taehyung. He's been using his remaining influence to sabotage your business deals and manipulate your investors. And he's not working alone."

Taehyung stiffened. "What do you mean?"

Minji hesitated, then continued. "He's partnered with a rival company—one that's been trying to take you down for years. Together, they've been spreading false rumors and leaking confidential information. It's a coordinated attack."

The weight of her words hung heavy in the air. Y/N reached for Taehyung's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"What's our next move?" Taehyung asked, his voice steady despite the turmoil within him.

"We need to expose him once and for all," Minji replied. "I've gathered enough evidence to prove his involvement, but we need to act quickly. If we wait too long, he'll find a way to cover his tracks."

Taehyung nodded. "Let's do it. Send me everything you have, and I'll arrange a press briefing."

As they ended the call, Y/N turned to Taehyung. "Are you okay?"

He took a deep breath, his jaw clenched. "I'm tired of playing defense, Y/N. It's time to end this—for good."

But as they prepared for the next battle, a chilling thought lingered in Y/N's mind. If Jihoon was willing to go this far, what else was he capable of?
