The next morning arrived faster than Y/N had expected, and the weight of their decision settled in as they opened their eyes. Today was the day they would go public with Taehyung. They had worked late into the night, crafting a heartfelt statement that was genuine and true to who they were. Taehyung had been reassuring, standing by their side every step of the way, but the nerves were still there.

Taehyung greeted them with a soft smile over breakfast. "Ready?" he asked gently, squeezing Y/N's hand.

Y/N took a deep breath, nodding. "As ready as I'll ever be."

After a quiet breakfast, they opened their phones and prepared to post the statement. They had decided on a simple photo together—one that felt warm and intimate, capturing the quiet moments they had shared. The caption, brief but sincere, was written together: "Sometimes, the most unexpected connections are the ones that change us the most. We're grateful for all the support and love as we start this journey together."

With one last look at each other, they hit "post."

The seconds ticked by in silence, then turned into minutes. Notifications started rolling in, and before they knew it, their post had gone viral. Fans, media, and strangers alike had jumped on it, filling the comments with a whirlwind of emotions. Some fans were supportive, thrilled to see Taehyung happy, while others questioned the relationship.

Y/N took a shaky breath as they scrolled through, feeling overwhelmed. Taehyung sensed their unease and gently took their phone, placing it aside. "Hey," he said softly, "don't get caught up in what everyone else is saying. Remember why we did this."

Y/N looked into his eyes, his calm gaze grounding them. "You're right. It's just... a lot."

Taehyung wrapped an arm around their shoulder, pulling them close. "It is. But no matter what happens, we're in this together."

Just then, his phone buzzed with a message from his manager, who was already handling the wave of media inquiries. Taehyung quickly replied, assuring his team that they wouldn't be commenting further. They had said what they needed to say, and that was enough.

The rest of the day was a blur of emotions. Y/N stayed off social media, finding it easier to focus on the support from close friends and family who had reached out with messages of encouragement. Lia sent a reassuring text, full of excitement and pride, reminding Y/N that they weren't alone in this.

Later that night, as they settled in to watch a movie, Taehyung's phone buzzed again. Y/N tensed, worried it was another comment or article.

But Taehyung grinned, showing them the screen. "Look."

It was a message from his best friend in the group chat, congratulating him and teasing him in equal measure. One by one, the rest of Taehyung's friends chimed in, welcoming Y/N with open arms and poking fun at Taehyung in ways only close friends could. Y/N couldn't help but laugh, the warmth of acceptance filling them with relief.

"See?" Taehyung said, giving them a soft smile. "We've got people who care about us. That's all we need."

Y/N nodded, feeling the fear start to fade. As they looked at Taehyung, they realized something important: they were no longer hiding or pretending. This was real, and no amount of hate or criticism could take it away.

As they snuggled closer, Y/N's heart felt lighter. They didn't know what the future held, but they were ready to face it—all of it—with Taehyung by their side.
