HAYLEY WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING WITH A HEADACHE THAT WOULDN'T SEEM TO GO AWAY. Her eyes were blurry as she ate breakfast, and Charlie had nearly made her ride with Bella if it hadn't been for her fleeing the house before he could take her keys. She would surely get scolded for that later.
For now, though, she sat in first period, her head down and eyes shut as she willed the throb in her head to go away. She didn't know what caused it; maybe it was delayed jet lag, or perhaps it was just a small headache from everything that had happened yesterday. Hayley didn't dwell on it much, though, only scolded herself for not taking any medicine before she had left the house.
