HAYLEY HADN'T SPOKEN A WORD TO HER SISTER SINCE SHE LEFT FOR FLORIDA. She was determined to keep it that way. There was no way she was ready to talk to Bella after what had happened. But it seemed that her twin hadn't gotten the memo.
The conversation occurred the night after the Cullens had tried to catch Victoria. The older Swan twin had been perched on her bed, her Den Of Vipers novel clutched in her hands and knees pulled up to her chest as she read.
She had already been informed by Rosalie what had occurred on the hunt for Victoria, and she knew Xander would be by later to explain everything. So, right now, all she wanted to do was calm her nerves.
And then Bella knocked on her door.
"Hey," Her awkward sister greeted as she peeked her head into the bedroom. Bella was slightly tan from the trip to Florida, but her eyes weren't light. "Can we talk?"
