HAYLEY WATCHED AS EMMETT AND JASPER SPARED. The field was otherwise silent, only the faint sounds of swishes of wind emitting from the vampire's fight. They move fast through the mist, their movements blurred and fluent as they fight. The dense forest casts shadows over them, and then suddenly, Jasper got the upper hand.
Before Hayley could blink, Emmett was flying through the air before he hit the forest floor with a mighty crack. She winced at the sound from where she sat on a fallen log, but she relaxed when the playful brute sprang to his feet, a frustrated look on his face.
"Again!" Emmett barked, clearly upset by losing.
A loud laugh boomed from the tops of the trees, and the vampires (plus Hayley) looked up to where Xander and Camden stood on one of the tall branches above.
Camden was laughing so hard, he nearly fell out of the tree, and Xander was sitting on the branch, his legs swinging idly. "Yeah, Jazz. Throw him even farther this time." The blonde smirked.
