ON THE DAY SHE TURNED EIGHTEEN, HAYLEY DIDN'T FEEL ANY DIFFERENT. Sure, she was excited; she was an adult now. But it wasn't as exciting as it was to be twenty-one. She was already planning the bars she would be going to that night.
Bella, on the other hand, was panicking. The thought of growing older, getting older than Edward, sent her twin into a frenzy. And to an extent, Hayley understood. She, too, was worried about growing older than Xander. But as the blonde told her, he had turned eighteen, unlike Edward, who was seventeen.
So, mentally, she decided that if she was going to turn. She would do it the day after she turned twenty-one. Dammit, she was going to enjoy her first free day of alcoholic fun while her blood was still pumping. Xander had laughed for five minutes when she ranted about it the night before.
Nevertheless, to Hayley, it was just another birthday. Thankfully, Xander understood that.
