THE NEXT DAY, HAYLEY AND BELLA BOTH SKIPPED SCHOOL. But unlike her sister, Hayley didn't go off into the woods with someone who could definitely kill her if he wanted to. Instead, she faked a fever and stayed home for the day. Charlie didn't care, knowing she would get her work done at home, and he himself was too busy with the Waylon case to care, as sad as it was to say.
