Diego Mendez's POV
Stepping onto the rich, vibrant soil of Verdantorn, Diego Mendez felt a thrill course through him. The land was alive in a way he'd never experienced—verdant jungles, rolling plains, and mist-covered mountains stretched in every direction. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth, blooming flowers, and a deep, primal energy. This was his new home, a place where his people would build and thrive.
Beside him, members of the South American wizarding community stood in awe, breathing in the magic of Verdantorn. Each of them held the new Spirit Heart Core, which had awakened a fierce, wild magic within them. Diego could already feel the new powers stirring within, the ability to shift into animals and communicate with the wild around him.
"Welcome to Verdantorn," he called, his voice resonating with authority. "This land is ours to protect, to nurture, and to respect. Let's make it a home worthy of the Spirit Heart that beats within each of us."
Laying Out Verdantorn's Foundation
Diego and his advisors gathered around a large stone slab they used as an improvised table. A hand-drawn map of Verdantorn's terrain lay before them, detailing the lush forested regions, the open plains, and the towering mountains.
"For our central city, I propose we settle near the river basin," Diego said, pointing to a spot on the map where two rivers converged, creating a lush valley. "The rivers will provide water, transportation, and a natural defense."
Ana Maria, one of the Alpha Shifters, nodded. "And it's close to the jungle, where many of our people's animal forms can roam freely. It would be a good base for us."
"We'll call it Corazon Salvaje," Diego decided, a name that meant "Wild Heart" and reflected the spirit of their people.
"Around Corazon Salvaje, we'll set up several villages," Diego continued, tracing pathways that would lead outward from the city like veins from a heart. "Each village will serve a different purpose to keep Verdantorn self-sustaining."
They began mapping out locations for smaller settlements:
Sombra Verde, a village deep within the forest that would focus on herbalism, potions, and natural healing.Cuidad del Fuego, a mountainside town dedicated to crafting enchanted weapons and tools.Canto del Jaguar, a training village where young shifters would learn to master their powers, honor the wild, and develop skills for shapeshifting and combat.Establishing the Hierarchy of the Shapeshifters
As plans for the settlements took shape, Diego gathered his closest advisors to discuss the Shapeshifter Hierarchy that would organize and lead their people.
"We need to structure ourselves as a unified pack, but one that respects each individual's gifts," Diego said, glancing around the circle of shapeshifters. "At the top will be the Shapeshifter King, which I will take on, with the guidance of the Shapeshifter Council."
"The Council will consist of the Elders," Ana Maria added, looking to her fellow shapeshifters. "These are those who have spent their lives understanding the power of shifting, bonding with their animal spirits, and guiding others."
Carlos, a veteran shifter, raised a question. "And for our warriors and protectors?"
"We will have Alpha Shifters leading smaller groups, each responsible for specific regions or clans," Diego explained. "They'll be our frontline defense and our ambassadors, working closely with the Clan Leaders."
