With the central city of Starios well underway and the school's foundation set, the next crucial step for the continent of Eldoria was to establish villages and towns. These would be the lifeblood of the region, ensuring that all inhabitants—whether magical creatures or wizards—had places to live, work, and thrive.
In the weeks following the previous meetings, Harry called together another gathering of leaders, this time focusing specifically on the development of Eldoria. While Starios would serve as the capital and governmental hub, the surrounding villages and towns would provide homes, farmlands, and places of community for everyone.
The Meeting: Planning Eldoria's Settlements
The leaders assembled in the now-familiar meeting tent, seated around a large map of Eldoria. Each village and town would need to be strategically placed, taking into account the natural landscape, magical ley lines, and the needs of each community.
Harry began the discussion, standing at the head of the table, a magical quill floating beside him, ready to take notes. "Our focus today is the creation of villages and towns throughout Eldoria. These settlements will be more than just places to live—they'll be centers of culture, trade, and magic. We need to make sure every community has a place they can call home. Let's start by discussing where we should place the first villages."
Luna Lovegood, ever the explorer, pointed to a stretch of land near a large forest. "I've been out there—just beyond the enchanted woods near the river. It's beautiful and teeming with life. That would be the perfect place for a village that works closely with nature. We could build homes that blend into the environment."
Neville Longbottom, who had been working closely with the magical plants in the area, agreed. "The soil there is rich, and it's close to several ley lines. It would make an excellent farming village. We could grow magical plants and crops to support the entire continent."
Isabell Starr, leader of the North American Wizards, nodded. "I like that idea. The first village could focus on agriculture and environmental magic. We could set up magical greenhouses and farms that supply the food not just for Eldoria but for the surrounding continents as well."
Ondora, the leader of the Water Nymphs, added, "There's a river nearby as well. We could tap into it for irrigation and water distribution. My people would be happy to help create magical waterways to support the village."
Harry made a note, smiling at the collaboration. "Alright, our first village will be an agricultural one. It'll focus on farming, magical plants, and connecting with nature. We'll set it near the forest and river. Now, what should we name it?"
Luna thought for a moment. "How about Verdantia? It symbolizes the greenery and life that will grow there."
The leaders agreed, and Harry made the name official. "Verdantia it is. Let's move on to the next settlement."
Crafting a Network of Settlements
As the meeting progressed, the leaders discussed various regions within Eldoria and the types of villages and towns that would best suit each area.
Draco Malfoy pointed to a mountainous region to the west. "This area is rich in minerals and close to several magical mines. We could establish a town here focused on mining, crafting, and enchanting magical items."
Gringold, the Goblin leader, grinned. "My people would be happy to oversee those operations. We could set up forges, crafting halls, and enchantment workshops. A town built around industry would be perfect there."
